The main attraction at Chinquapin is the natural beauty of the property itself. Also, each cottage has it's own personality and privacy. Your own screened porch and kitchen. Each bedroom has a private bath. The lodge is large and welcoming, perfect for all of your family to gather. The swimming hole is indescribable...the water is pristine and gigantic! There is great fishing and hiking. Large patios for entertaining and stereo system to listen to your tunes outdoors. A fully equipped grill area, playground and rec room (ping pong, pool). Family of all ages will be thrilled with their experience and remember it always. We only rent all of the cottages to one group at a time, so you have the entire ranch to yourselves. No renting of individual cottages allowed.

The most intimate of all the cottages, the Peacock House has one bedroom and bath (and outdoor shower!). It is very romantic with wood floors and fireplace and sleeps 2. There is a trundle bed, too for overflow little ones, if you need it.

-----THE LODGE-----
The Lodge is the central gathering place… where all the fun happens. You (or your caterer) can whip up amazing meals here in the huge kitchen. There is a great screen porch to enjoy the outdoor fireplace or fresh breezes. Have a cold one and a nacho on the patio overlooking the waterfall. You’ll already be planning your next trip to Chinquapin by then….

-----REC ROOM-----
Recreation is what we do best at Chinquapin. The large screened rec room is complete with pool table, two pingpong tables and foosball. Plug in your iPod and and have a blast. There is a large basketball court and playground with an old fashioned merry-go-round and swings.The kids (young and old) will go nuts.

-----SUNSET HILL-----
Pack up some wine and cheese and friends and go to the highest point on the ranch to drink in the end of the day. There is a rustic gazebo and tables. Build a fire in the firepit and enjoy the most amazing sunsets ever. The quiet, breezes and vista are guaranteed to wash all cares away.

-----THE WATER-----
The water needs a section all it’s own. The natural limestone bottom swimming hole is enormous (over 100 yards long) and has a paddle boat, floats and kayaks. You’ll never want to get out. The water is pristine since the pool is drained and cleaned annually. There are also two amazing fishing ponds with huge bass (catch and release, please) for the fishermen. Bring your rods and bathing suits and have a ball.
