Memory Bay, nestled in the quiet community of Pike Bay offers you a nature lover's retreat from your busy life. Enjoy watching the water and wildlife from the deck. Swim (not a sandy bottom, swim shoes available at the cottage!), kayak, challenge your family or friends to a game of bocce, enjoy a good book or wander down to the general store/restaurant/LCBO outlet for an ice-cream cone. After a barbeque dinner on the deck (cottage rule: kids do the dishes!) you can unwind by the fire, make some s'mores and watch the stars. We have WIFI (but no cable) and lot's of DVD's, games and puzzles to stay entertained "old school"

Or, if you prefer a little more activity, there is plenty to do nearby.

HIKING Bruce Peninsula offers some of the most amazing 'Bruce Trail' hiking in Ontario. 'THE GROTTO at Bruce Peninsula National Park is a must see for adventurers!! (Booking ahead is a must during summer months)

Also in the garage you will find a variety of yard games, pool noodles and inflatables to use.

The water is warm and shallow with a gradual entry. The bottom is a mix of sand, smooth rocks and some muck. Some areas have a soft bottom. We do recommend swim shoes for the water and provide a variety of sizes at the cottage.

Just down the road, you will find a general store with a little bit of everything. They are an LCBO outlet and serve very generous ice cream cones!

All good things must come to an end :( When it is time to pack up, we ask that you leave the cottage as you found it.

************* IMPORTANT NOTES ***************************
We like to make sure you will be happy choosing Memory Bay Cottage, so I would like to clarify a couple of important things.
The municipality requires renters to follow these rules: no more than 6 people at the cottage (this may mean no visitors, even during the day) no smoking/vaping, no parties, no fireworks, no amplified outdoor music, kayak and SUP use requires wearing a PDF (that one is law, not municipal) and please observe quiet hours from 11 pm until 9 am.

The water levels change significantly from year to year and the depth in the profile picture is not necessarily current. Please glance through all of the pictures to give you an idea of how the water levels change and the type of lake bottom we have. We have a variety of water shoes at the cottage as it is NOT A SANDY BOTTOM, we have created a sandy area for play and lounging but it is not a natural sand beach. Please use code word "got it" in your booking request to indicate you are okay with all of this! Thanks!

Sweet family cottage on peaceful quiet bay
We really enjoyed our stay. Sitting out on the dock over looking the water was so peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed! We really enjoyed using the provided paddleboards and kayaks to explore the water. The cottage was very clean and had lots of extra touches to make our stay more comfortable. Location was convenient for exploring the Bruce Trail, Sauble Beach and Tobermory.Communication with our host Callie was excellent. We would definitely stay here again 😊

Great Stay
As a family of four with two young (<4) children, we had a great stay at this cottage. The property had plenty of new toys and activities for them to engage with, and they loved spending time digging around in the sand pit. The place was safe from water hazards or breakable items that allowed us parents to really be worry free.

Cottage is good, outside needs work
The cottage was well equipped and we enjoyed staying there. The deck and some outside furniture need replacing. The photos of the outside of the property are old and not a reflection of the current state.

Great little cottage
We had a great time on pike bay. Callie and her family went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable with little extras for us and the kids. The only downfall was privacy, but the neighbours were quiet. Overall it was a great stay.
