Loved the property itself! Amazing building - spacious apartment. Our host was very responsive to any questions and also organized our transportation back and forth to the airport The area around our apartment was fascinating - lots of weddings at the nearby church and the busy market just up the street. Very convenient location. The only negative was that there was a strewn plastic garbage and garbage bags around the outside of the building

An Absolute MUST

Toni is an absolute gem and made our trip so wonderful. You should always expect problems when travelling in Italy, but with Toni, you can rest assured that your comfort and enjoyment is his central focus. The property is literally across the street from the most beautiful church interior you might experience in Palermo. Very comfortable and will recommend to all our friends and family when traveling to Sicily. Great value all around. Grazie Toni!!!

The apartment in Palermo is in a perfect location across from the Chiesa del Gesu, one of the most beautiful churches in the city. Walking distance to the Ballero Market and easy walking distance to the historical center of Palermo, one of the most beautiful cities I have visited in Italy. A really spacious sunny apartment in an historical building with comfortable sized rooms. The decor in the apartment is a an artful mix of antique Italian furniture and modern kitchen facilities and good working internet. Our host was very friendly and accomodating. In the heart of the old historic district

First this place is cool as it’s across the street from the Chiesa del Gesù di Casa Professa, one of the most beautiful churches in Sicily. When walking out the door to the right is the market. Go and get some excellent street food; fresh produce. It’s also close to Via Maqueda which is the Main Street to get you to Quattro Canti and all of the street vendors and tiny restaurants along the way. The apt is lovely with coffee maker; microwave; dishwasher and washer. No dryer. Great AC. Very comfortable apt. We would definitely stay there again. Toni was very helpful with suggestions on street food and sites to see. He did not have a wine bottle opener for us but he when texted he came and dropped one off Loved the nitty gritty streets of Palermo. To get around we took Ubers And all drivers knew the church.

Ask for Cash

To start with some positives, the location is ideal for walking to most of the interesting spots in the center of the city. Communication with host was rapid and easy. Some serious downsides preclude a better review, though. One night the fitted sheet slipped off the bed to reveal a huge stain on the mattress. Can't be certain, but it sure looked like dried blood. But the most distressing shock was when the host asked us for 8 Euros cash to pay for some kind of city tax. This smacks of scam. Any tax should be built into the price quoted at the time of booking. I'm pretty sure this is against Vrbo policy but cash changing hands at the time of check-in should never happen. Check for new mattresses and get in writing that you won't be asked for cash at the time of check-in. This would then be an attractive place to stay in Palermo historic center.

Die Lage und die Wohnung sind einfach top - wenn man keinen empfindlichen Schlaf hat. Aber wer erwartet schon Ruhe im Zentrum von Palermo? Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Betreiber ist nett. Währe wir wieder nach einer Wohnung in Palermo gesucht hätten, dann hätten wir gerne wieder die selbe Unterkunft verwendet.

La base parfaite pour explorer Palerme

Wow place to discover Palermo

Big, amazing apartment in great location. Good communication with Toni who was there in person to meet us and show us the place when we arrived earlier than expected... thanks for the great guidebook to places to visit, local restaurants etc. Historic building so needed to navigate couple things like doors that did not unlock (Toni to rescue again).. overall great stay. Nice kitchen, great space and base to discover Palermo

Very enjoyable

This large apartment is well equipped and in a great location for sightseeing, restaurants and the Ballarò Market. Beds are very comfortable and it’s quiet at night so we slept well. Two good A/C units in living area and kitchen. One very large fan in Master bedroom and ceiling fan in 2nd bedroom, although it was a bit squeaky. Balcony is great as it overlooks the church where we saw 3 weddings take place during our stay. Couple of things I would suggest need fixing. Toilet roll holder in guest bathroom and curtain rails in 2nd bedroom slide out when curtains are drawn. No big deal as we felt the apartment was a good rate. Saving the best to last was our host Toni. Always promptly answering our texts. He was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I had a problem with my back so walking was limited. He went out and got us 6 litres of water for our stay just after we arrived. He also arranged a tour of the city and our taxi to the airport. Thank you Toni we really appreciated your help and making our stay even better.

Casa Professa il cuore della vecchia Palermo

La casa è splendida e situata nel cuore della vecchia Palermo. perfetta l'accoglienza da parte di Toni. L'appartamento ottimamente arredato è situato in un palazzo storico esattamente di fronte alla chiesa del Gesù, ricca di altorilievi, capolavoro del Barocco Siciliano. A pochi passi da via Maqueda e dal mercato di Ballarò. Nessun problema a parcheggiare l'auto nella piazza.

Very Stylish, Spacious Apartment in the Heart of Palermo

Center of historical district, which is good and not so good. Gritty streets but walking distance to most important historical sites. Apartment is stylishly decorated and very comfortable and the manager Toni went above and beyond to assist us. Around the corner towards Ballero Market is a corner bar with a warm couple and the best cappuccino in the this part of the city.

Vaste appartement conforme au descriptif et aux photos, très bien agencé et équipé. Particulièrement propre. Situation idéale pour visiter la ville car central mais au calme et à deux pas du marché. Parfait pour une famille de 4 personnes. Notre hôte a été adorable : il est venu nous chercher alors que nous étions perdus en voiture dans le dédale des rues palermitaines ! Le tout avec le sourire alors que nous avions plus d’une heure de retard... Grazie per tutto!

L'appartamento è molto grande e ben arredato, si trova accanto al mercato Ballarò e a pochi mt dalla Martorana. E' ben fornito e comodo, ci sono due camere da letto e due bagni, una grande cucina e un grande salone. Wifi, TV,...insomma....ha tutto per trascorrere una bella vacanza a Palermo.
