The Atlantic Ocean looks close enough to touch from the balcony of our thirrd-story condo, Hibiscus 301-A on St. Augustine Beach. You will find the perfect vacation spot in this airy, open-plan condo, convenient to everything in St Augustine and St Augustine Beach!
Hibiscus 301-A is in a full-amenity condo community boasting three swimming pools, two Jacuzzis, and much more. A private boardwalk leads you over the dunes and down to the beach from the tropically landscaped grounds. You’re just minutes from the city here, but it seems so remote and unspoiled!
Hibiscus 301-A is designed with the vacationer in mind. We have tried to provide everything here, from all kitchen equipment and dishes to a new HDTV, a washer/dryer, and free wireless Internet service. Spacious, spotlessly clean, and well maintained, you will love everything from its location to its view to its comfortable, pleasant rooms!
The balcony is your window on the world at Hibiscus 301-A. Accessible from both the living/dining area and the master bedroom, it is covered to provide some shade during the heat of the day and overlooks a lovely expanse of ocean. Wander out here early in the morning and watch the pelicans soaring over the surf, fishing for their breakfast. Or, if you get up really early one day, you can even catch the magnificent sunrise over the horizon! Breezy and beautiful, it’s the view you’ll remember long after your time at Hibiscus 301-A is done.
Of course, you can enjoy the view from indoors too, thanks to the big sliding-glass doors into the open-plan living and dining area at our condo. Everything about this space is light, welcoming, and laid-back, from the comfortable chair, to a beautiful view of the ocean. Turn on the 48-inch HD Smart TV, pop a movie into the DVD player or use the Roku to stream music or movies. The kids will probably sprawl out on the floor with their toys, and their parents can enjoy a cold drink in the cool air conditioning of the condo. Yo

It was perfect for us for a quick 3 night stay. Nothing fancy but clean. The decor was very interesting and put us on a scavenger hunt to see what else we could find throughout. It is in a good location close enough that you can drive anywhere quickly but not stuck in the traffic of downtown. The dunes are beautiful and you can see the ocean from the balcony but not hear it. It’s about a football field away. The pool was nice and the walkway to the ocean was great. We would definitely stay again.

This condo suits our family well, being able to bring our fur babies was the best part. Loved listening to the waves crash all night was amazing. Can’t wait to come back, thank you for having our family!

Beautiful Ocean Views

The location and views from the balcony are the best part of this condo. Directly on the beach with beautiful views of the ocean and sunrises. The condo is comfortable, and the resort pools and hot tubs are well maintained and nice. The condo met our basic needs, but needs updates. The monkey artwork is really odd - but gave us a good laugh.

Beautiful view

We had a great week. Views were beautiful from the 3rd floor. Condo could use some updating but was comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. Would recommend, there is no elevator so keep that in mind. Would rent again.

Condo was nice, close to beach & pools were nice. Stairs were difficult for us older people, especially with pets going out several times a day. We really enjoyed the balcony overlooking the ocean. One thing missing from the kitchen was cookie sheets, otherwise it was well equipped.

Vacation

The deck was very nice and the view of ocean was beautiful. It was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the walk to the beach and loved looking in the dunes. The condo was nice. It could use a few minor repairs as the bathroom sink and kitchen leaked and lightbulbs were missing. Loved the master bedroom bed. It was very comfortable. We would definitely visit again.

Had a great time. The utensils were not sharp and there was no cookie sheet. There was limited pans and no mixing bowls. Pool was fun and view was amazing beach was awesome.

Incredible view of the ocean

We have rented on the beach in the area for 7 years. While walking, we always comment about view from that unit. We finally got the opportunity to rent it We were right the view is Breathtaking! Unit was sufficient and clean. Decor was strange. We are already planning on booking that unit again.

Great location; needs some work

Sitting on balcony looking at ocean was great. The place needs about 10 hours of maintenance. Some burned out light bulbs; a lamp that had no on/off switch; refrigerator only closed if you lift up on the door; bathroom faucet with steady leak. Layout nice - decor was an interesting combination of colors and artwork.

Interior decoration

The interior decorating is atrocious. The Monkee pictures were bewildering. The sofa and dining room table were something. The faucets all leaked terribly. On the other hand, the balcony was great and the complex was very nice. It would be a nice condo if the owner would dress it up for a more beach feel rather than the jungle look.

Million dollar view, not so much inside

We stayed at this property 5 years ago, and it has gotten worse, not better. The couch was uncomfortable, only one towel per person, tile floors cracking, and carpet coming up. Some things were addressed to owner 2 years ago, and are still broken. I would definitely bring kitchen cooking utensils and cookie sheets. As in title, the view is fantastic.

Sad but not too bad

I was told I didn't need a wristband for the pool when I picked up my key. Yet my family was picked from everyone at the pool and asked about a wristband, all the people at the pool and no one was wearing a band. That made me sad and wonder why my family, and it was a little embarrassing for me and my kids. I will not go back or tell anyone I know to go there.

Close to beach, pool and great views

Property is outdated and has strange decor. In particular the monkey with nipples in the guest bathroom- kid friendly?! Also dishwasher was falling out when trying to load- dirty top. Stove top - only 3 burners were working. Dryer is not efficient. Everything needs some attention as far as furnishings. We are from Asheville, so weird is normal and still, strange decor for us. It’s a 3rd floor rental- no elevator- has its pros and cons. Tile floor on balcony slippery and is not dry when raining- although covered. Again, great views and walk to beach but hanging out inside unit is questionable...

The Unit (3.5 stars): Beautiful view, great location, and the pool/hot tub were excellent. Good size for a family. Furniture is older but comfortable. However, the unit had a noticeable urine smell (likely from a previous guest's pet), the kitchen was poorly stocked with very few utensils and cookware, and there were no extra towels or bedsheets; bring your own for extras. The apartment is tucked behind other buildings and can be hard to find at first.Management (1 star): This is where the stay went wrong. We were asked to delay check-in for a refrigerator delivery, which we accommodated. It wasn't completed. Management then insisted on accessing the unit during our two-day stay, initially calling it a "scheduled delivery," then escalating to claims of an "active leak" and "health and safety" concerns. We inspected the refrigerator—it was functioning normally with no visible issues. When we declined access, we received messages implying we'd be blamed for any future problems. We contacted Vrbo support, who sided with us. The pressure tactics and inconsistent communication made what should have been a short, relaxing trip stressful.Bottom line: The property itself is nice. But based on how management handled this situation, I would not book with this company again.

VTRIPS IS HORRIBLE!!!

This condo is beautiful but the VTRIPS (The rental management company for this condo) treated us very poorly . Our trip was reserved for early June 2022, we paid months in advance but six weeks before leaving we were informed by the VTRIPS the condo was under construction. At that point we could not find comparable accommodations and we needed a place we could bring our dog and we wanted an ocean view with a balcony. We accepted the circumstances feeling that at least we could enjoy the balcony despite the construction. Upon arrival we discovered that the rails for the balcony were removed and the doors to the balcony were boarded over. We immediately asked for a discount. It took VTRIPS the entire week to contact us at which point they only offered us $175 . The condo rental was over $2500. Why have this much construction during summer vacation months? Also, how could VTRIPS not have known this was going to happen and simply not have posted the condo for rent until construction was complete? It was either incompetence or deception on their part. We like the hibiscus condos but we will not rent through the VTRIPS ever again. We feel very ripped off!
