True Italian small town living!
Be prepared for a small town! As the property details indicate, this is a place to come to relax. Bring some provisions just in case the minimarts (2) and restaurant (1) aren’t open - not unusual. The rhythm of the town is slow. That said, once we slowed ourselves to the pace of town, our visit was one we enjoyed and won’t forget. Wander around - there’s no way to get lost! And if you speak a bit of Italian you’ll find the townspeople are curious about where you’ve come from and where you’re staying. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The bar (1) is THE happening place in town. Guys drinking beer and playing Briscola, families catching up. Lively place on Friday PM. Bar guy also runs 1 of the 2 minimarts just over his store (entrance on street behind). Don’t seem to be any regular hours for opening/closing - the proprietor comes and goes so don’t give up if he’s closed. Take a seat on a bench, surf some internet and sooner or later he’ll most likely return! The apartment was clean and Maria was most helpful. We even ran into her and family having a picnic just outside of town at the site of La Capella Madonna delle Neve. We were invited to share their picnic making for a pleasant and memorable afternoon!
