Casa Macchi - An oasis of peace near the station

Macchi house is located in a great location: near the Central Station (where there are links to all airports in Milan) and the underground (yellow, red and green). And near the path of the longest shopping street in Europe: Corso Buenos Aires. The apartment is small but comfortable for four people. E 'quiet and cozy. It offers a full kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and wifi with fiber.
The main feature of the apartment in addition to modernity is the great location, which allows easy access as well as the Central Station, even the places of origin and destination of the airports of Linate, Malpensa and Orio al Serio.
It is located very close to all major subway lines (red MM, green and yellow).
It 'easy to reach by car from the motorway (exit Lambrate).
The neighborhood is very quiet within walking distance from downtown and the longest shopping street in Europe .... Corso Buenos Aires, in addition to being equipped with all kinds of shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, pubs and pizzerias.
For those with young children the 'apartment is located near a children's park.

First Time in Milan

Great place for my wife and I to kick off our trip in Italy! Location is away from the busy parts of the city, but it was just close enough for us to walk everywhere we needed! Thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

Convenient to train station

We enjoyed our 2days in Milan to kick off our trip. We had everything we needed and were thankful for A/C as our days in Milan were hot. The walking to Duomo and beyond was a bit far however there are plenty of other transport options. Thank you for Piergiorgio’s attentiveness during our stay.

Short Milan Trip

The property was great and exactly as shown in the pictures. Having AC in the living room and bedroom was incredibly nice to have as it was very hot. Location to central station was also very helpful. Host was very kind and it was very easy to communicate with him.

Beautiful property walking distance from Milano Centrale. On the correct side of the train station, for a direct walk to the Duomo, and shopping district. Lots of shopping, great coffee nearby, quick hop over to visit all of northern Italy.

Overall, our stay was nice. There were 4 adults staying in the apartment and we were comfortable. Our only issue was that we could not get the washer/dryer to work. Otherwise we had a nice stay.

Lovely apartment

Nice property not too far from Milano Centrale train station. Nice bathroom, washer/dryer combo, good A/C and comfortable bed. There is a lift, it’s small but adequate. Host communicated well. Area seemed very safe.

When I say amazing ! It’s amazing

Absolutely awesome location , literally minutes away from the central station , minutes from a park where my kids played while wife and I set back and enjoy a delicious Italian wine Went in the morning to a quick market for some delicious meats and cheese , all super close and easy ! The elevator was definitely a highlight for our kids , they loved it ! Amazing host ! Amazing location ! Amazing price !

Comfortable apartment

We had a good stay at this comfortable apartment. Great location within walking distance of Milano Centrale and metro stops. Small elevator gives access to an upper floor unit, very quiet and peaceful area at night. Small kitchen is well-equipped, nice shower, adequate air conditioning. Clean and cared for, with good wifi. Drapes in living area would improve privacy. There are some good eating places nearby. Area seems very safe. Very good communication with our host. Would recommend this apartment to our friends.

Well equipped stay

Piergiorgio’s place has all the amenities one needs to have a comfortable stay. To get up to the unit took some time as there are gates, locks and elevators to wade through but once you're in the unit, you feel like you're at home. Piergiorgio’s communication is also superb - answering any questions we had. My only suggestion would be to improve the bed mattress since it was too soft and slanted. All else was great though.

Delightful, comfortable and convenient

Piergiorgio has created a lovely, clean, quiet apartment in a safe neighborhood, very close to Milan Centrale and within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and other transportation. As a couple, we were very comfortable . Piergiorgio provided everything we needed to make our stay pleasant and easy. We had plenty towels, linens etc. Piergiorgio made it very easy to communicate and arrange logistics. He was always prompt and friendly with his replies. Our travel plans changed twice and we ended up having to cancel one of our nights...Piergiorgio made it very easy to transact the cancellation. His directions for arrival and departure were excellent, we knew exactly where the apartment was and how to leave it. After a long journey, getting into a place is always more tiring; the keys, the gate, the elevator....was all very easy. I would highly recommend this apartment and would return if our plans allowed.

Needs Updating

First I’ll preface this review by acknowledging that my husband and I travel extensively, have stayed at numerous VRBOs both nationally and internationally, and have always been completely satisfied. Additionally, we’ve always given and received 100% “excellent” reviews.We do want to stress that one item mentioned in the property description was absolutely true, the fact that it is located quite convenient to the central train station as well as to the various metro stations nearby.Now, the reality. Online, Casa Macchia looked attractive to us because it appeared to offer the type of accommodations we’ve always come to expect of VRBO rentals. However that was not the case. We wish we could provide photos here to substantiate the reality.What was not true of the property was that the interior isn’t as pristine as shown online, and we were disappointed by several misleading factors. "Fish-eye lens" online photos are obviously old and deceiving. The place is very small, From an old filthy sofa with stains and cigarette burns, a very small bathroom with a slop sink, mold on the grout in the shower, deteriorating counter and shower floor, tape over one of the toilet flushers, to a very old, indented, uncomfortable bed with old linens, thin mattress and noisy neighbors, the hair dryer and coffee maker didn't work, it was a disappointment. Not up to par for the money. It needs an overhaul to justify pricing. If you're just looking for a place to crash, this would be fine.

We would like to point out that we always pay great attention to cleaning and taking care of the apartment before each arrival. Regarding the hairdryer, we would like to clarify that it was in perfect working order: unfortunately, without the Schuko adapter, which had been moved to the kitchen by a previous guest, the connection cannot be made correctly. We apologize if this situation has caused a misunderstanding. As for the Nespresso coffee machine, as soon as we received your report, we intervened quickly to replace it, and we remind you that the apartment is always equipped with a traditional moka to offer an alternative. As for the noise coming from other holiday homes, unfortunately, we cannot always intervene directly, but we are committed to promptly reporting any situation that could disturb our guests. The location is near to all metro lines as well as very near to the central train station. Thus it is easy to explore any corner of Milan or surroundings. Very comfortable, newly redecorated, clean and with every essential for tourists. I highly recommend this vacation rental.
