Located along South Maui's gem, Keawakapu Beach, this North facing ground floor/garden view condo is only 30 steps to beach with easy access to condo common areas. This private garden condo is on the first floor of the south side of the building ...about 60 steps along the pathway leads to the gem of south Maui, Keawakapu Beach!

Keawakapu Beach, located on the south shore of Maui, Hawaii, is known for its stunning natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. This picturesque beach is a favorite spot for locals and return visitors and features soft golden sand, clear waters, and lush greenery surrounding the area. It's a great spot for families to swim, snorkel, and sunbathe, and watch the sun set at the end of the day.

The entire unit is newly remodeled and upgraded including new appliances and furniture. The entry way window has a partial ocean view.

The master bedroom has a King size bed and en suite bathroom with step-in shower.

Guest Bedroom has two twin beds which can be converted to a King bed (upon request and approval). Guest Bathroom is equipped with a step-in shower. A sofa sleeper in living room can accommodate a fifth or sixth person.

At this beachfront property we provide beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach cooler. We suggest renting beach toys (such as a beach umbrella, snorkel gear, paddle boards, boogie boards, etc) from one of the many rental companies on Maui.

Hale Hui Kai is a beloved location among first time visitors and repeat guests. There is a small, shared oceanfront pool next to the common area covered lanai, which is equipped with comfortable lounge space for guests to enjoy when you need a break from the Maui sun.

Best Beach in all of Maui!

Great as usual

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been renting at the Hale Hui Kai for over 15 years and always enjoy our stay. You can't be the location. This year was a bit different in that the sandy beach had been washed away in recent storms so the beach was inaccessible. Unit #109 is very nice with nice updates and well stocked. However, the air conditioning units were not working during our stay which left the unit stuffy and damp. Otherwise a great stay. We always go back.

The location worked for us on the garden side. It has air conditioning but we did not use it . We did experience rain and humidity which might have contributed to a musty smell particularly in the second bedroom and at times slick footing in the living area. Beach chairs, umbrellas etc were all . The master bed is soft.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely love the property of Hale Hui Kai. Unit 109 was not as great of an experience as our previous stay. First, the unit (especially the second bedroom) smelled pretty funky. We also had a cockroach crawl on my wife’s arm at 2am, **** those things are gross. We also needed to get new sheets for one of the beds, and the interaction with the staff literally put my wife on tears. With all that said, there was everything we needed for the beach. The location is amazing. It feels like your a part of a tight knit vacation group with the small number of units. The Veranda might be one of the most well designed in the world. Amazing!

The code was keyed to our phone number, so easy for all to remember. While AC was not needed for most of the time, it was nice to have for sleeping. Hale Hui Kai is now our go-to place in Maui. The property is clean and well maintained. There were not load parties or music while we were there.

Exceptional location, with the beach just a few steps from the front door. The condo sits on a beach that just keeps going. Super handy to stores and great restaurants. The condo has very comfy beds and a whisper quiet dishwasher! The outdoor patio is private and quiet. It's lovely to sit outside at night and listen to the ocean waves. I would definitely rent this unit again and we are looking forward to returning. The property managers are super easy to work with and make the rental easy and seamless. This was the second time I have rented with at this condo and both times were very positive

Reviewer Comments: Location of the unit is excellent, cleanliness was excellent.The following critique is only because there are a couple of things that could be improved, but our stay on HHK 109 was overall excellent.There could be a note saying that if the sliding door or front door are not closed completely, then the a/c doesn’t come on. We got a quick answer from Bryce on that however.The dining room chair seats need to be refurbished, they are flat worn out.The beds have indentations which a mattress topper may rescue or replace them.The pans in the kitchen are worn out; the teflon has been damaged and should be replaced.That said, we will come back next year. Like my wise Aunt Frieda used to say, “if you want it like at home, stay at home”. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We love the HHK!
