We stayed over the Easter weekend and had a fantastic experience. The property was excellent and had everything we could possibly need. Its central location made it perfect for visiting all the places we had planned. The host went the extra mile with thoughtful touches like Easter eggs and biscuits waiting for us on arrival. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and memorable weekend.
Lovely property in a lovely rural location close to Dorchester. Very quiet and peaceful. Very clean, had all the kitchen bits & pieces we needed and tasty 'welcome' biscuits!
What a nice little gem for a real home away from home feel. Very easy to find and it was a great hub for my adventures throughout Dorset. Check-in was a breeze and the property comes well equipped. I’m not much for eating out while adventuring so I definitely made use of the kitchen! The space was clean and tastefully decorated. Lynne was an absolute delight and she was very responsive to messages. Loved the large sliding rear door and all the natural light the property offered. Definitely a great spot!
Well equipped throughout. Warm all day. All comfortable except we found the bedroom small which made it difficult for us. Garden area very nice but we stayed in March so not used . Friendly welcome and the milk, orange juice and chocolates very nice . An ok place to stay to visit family.
Our stay at this beautiful dairy was amazing it was spotlessly clean had everything that you needed very comfortable great shower. Kitchen had everything you needed spotless very peacefull amazing watching the birds and hedgehogs really relaxing week
Great stay and fantastic location for exploring the area.
The property was perfect for our break away, just as described.
The check in and out process was so easy and hosts were available if needed but we had peace and quite in the property. Great inclosed garden for the dog - we will be back!
We really enjoyed our stay here! The barn was warm and cozy but I can also imagine in summer it would be light and airy. We had everything we needed for our stay and the location is great for exploring Dorset!
Warm and cosy base from which to explore the Jurassic Coast - we walked everyday and could return to a cosy place with excellent kitchen facilities and inviting couches .
Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Hosts were welcoming and kept in good communication. Well located for the attractions. Had a great few days there.

Thank you for your kind review.
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, and hope to see you again.
Kind regards
Lynne.
We are a local family, having lived just outside of Swanage for many years so have an excellent knowledge of the area and local facilities. We now live in a neighbouring cottage to Old Dairy, where we are enjoying the wonderful wildlife and countryside surrounding us.
Why they chose this property
Stepping inside Old Dairy, this property envelopes you with a wonderful feeling of privacy, but spacious both inside and out. Although set in the heart of countryside, the location is ideal with the coast 3 miles away, set on the Jurassic coast, and a village just a mile away, with ample shops and a mainline station, but near to all Dorsets attractions.
What makes this property unique
Old Dairy is approached by a tree lined drive, which is a wonderful habitat to pheasants, ducks, deer and many species of birds. There is a pretty garden adjacent to facilites for car parking, and a barn that used to be home for dairy cattle, but now home to owls and our pet ponies. The whole area is surrounded by fields, with a wonderful feeling of open space.
