It all makes enjoying the superb rolling-hills scenery a very relaxing endeavor at Cascina Lavandara.
Children are enthralled by the place : for them it's an adventure, since the property is quite large and they can roam free without crossing roads or facing dangers. Then the swimming pool is a runaway success with all. Easy walks within the property, along the lavender fields and olive trees can be supplemented by good local walks overlooking beautiful Piedmont.

The house is located 1,5 km from the village and is an ideal spot for family vacation, immersed in quiet and greenery, either to enjoy a peaceful stay or to be used as a base to explore the famed Barbera-Barolo region, visit its wine cellars, picturesque villages and sample the regional cuisine in the many local restaurants.

Also in a 100km radius are Milan, Turin and Genoa, great day trip opportunities.

Beautiful house, great pool and great location. The property is huge and great for morning walks with the dog. One note is that we stayed for a month and had to clean the pool ourselves and pay extra for weekly cleaning of the house.

beautiful scenery

the house is on a hill and overlooks the hills and valleys of the Piemonte. such an amazing view. very nice villages to visit. the pool is very nice and big. we had a great time with the pizza oven and the barbecue place. of course i cannot forget the delicious blackberries. overall we enjoyed it very much and would definitely recommend the house.

Een prachtig en gezellig huis met heerlijke tuin en groot zwembad op afstand van het huis. Binnen heel smaakvol ingericht. Enige suggestie is dat dit huis goed is voor Max 10 mensen gezien het aantal echte bedden en slaapkamers.

Mooi huis met mooie zwembad. Sommige faciliteiten zijn beetje krakkemikkig / oud. Hierbij enkele voorbeelden 1. Wifi slecht, valt vaak uit 2. Stroom, fornuis en oven kunnen niet tegelijkertijd aan, valt stroom uit 3. Tv, geen kanalen om Ek finale te kijken 4. Geen warm water in de keuken 5. Stoelen / zwembad bedjes sommige wat gammel 6. Wasrek poot los 7. Weinig kastruimte om spullen op te bergen, veel kasten zijn dichtgeplakt

Ein fast perfekter Urlaub

Das Haus ist sehr schön, gut gelegen und der Pool für Familien mit Kindern ein Traum. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Einzig die Sitzauflagen könnten einen neuen Stoffbezug vertragen und die Schirme repariert/ausgetauscht werden. Die Vermieterin hat uns bei Ankunft das Haus gezeigt, die Poolbedienung erklärt und auf Besonderheiten hingewiesen. Bei Fragen war sie telefonisch oder per WhatsApp problemlos erreichbar. Kleine Dörfer und Städte laden zur Erkundung ein und den Besuch auf einem Weingut mit Verkostung sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Leider hat die momentane Hitze in Nirditalien auch unseren Bewegungsdrang eingeschränkt. Bei milderen Temperaturen bietet sich die Umgebung zum Wandern und Radfahren an.

Very nice, clean house in beautiful surroundings. Friendly and courteous contact - Véronique was always available, answered questions and concerns quickly and was also open to small "lack notice". We enjoyed the week very much!

Das gelbe Haus neben den Lavendelfeldern

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig. Zu Fuss kann man in Monatabone in einem lokalen Market einkaufen (ca 25 min), allerdings entlang der kl. Strasse, Berg auf Berg ab. Dort gibt es auch 3 Restaurants. In die andere Richtung Rocchetta Palafea hat es eine kl. Bar, die ebenfalls Essen anbietet. Allerdings hat diese nur bis 14.00 uhr offen. Für Ausflüge ist ein Auto nötig. Das Haus und das Gelände rundherum ist aber toll. Im Haus alles was es braucht. Der Pool liegt perfekt und ist uneinsehbar von ausserhalb. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen im „gelben Haus“

Tolles Haus, wunderschönes Grundstück, ruhig und abgelegen. Der Pool ist sehr groß und sauber, es gibt viele Sitzgelegenheiten am Pool und am Haus. Im Haus selbst gibt es keine Klimaanlage, es wurde aber nicht allzu warm durch die Steinwände und Jalousien. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieterin.

10 mooie dagen in Montabone

Een heerlijk sfeervol huis in een meer dan prachtige omgeving. Met 6 volwassenen en af en toe vrienden op bezoek een heerlijke plek. Mooi zwembad, schitterend uitzicht en een pizza oven . Wandelen, fietsen, tennis en padel in de omgeving en meer dan genoeg leuke restaurants. We hopen nog een keer terug te komen!

Relax in peaceful Piedmont

We had a very relaxing stay here, the pool was a huge hit with the kids (and adults). A large and spacious family home which easily fitted two families of 5 and 4. The views are stunning and the area is a great base to explore Piedmont and the vineyards of the area. Highly recommend.

Großartiges Feriendomizil

Ein liebevoll renoviertes und wunderschön gelegenes Haus in Hügellage. Alles vorhanden was man braucht, von Küchenutensilien über Kinderspielzeug und Poolequipment. Der Pool war ein Highlight, der jeden Tag genossen wurde. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin Véronique war unkompliziert, schnell und freundlich. Wir würden sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Oasis within leading wine region

This is a beautiful property, with an amazing outlook and great amenities. It is a real refuge from the modern world. It was perfect for our two families (4 adults and 5 children ages 4-11), providing enough space for everyone to have places to relax. Veronique is a great and attentive host. The pool is a good size and is well situated within the property and gets late afternoon/evening sunshine, so is a perfect place to unwind at the end of the day. We also made full use of the table tennis table, large screen for viewing movies, outside terraces and dining area. Great area for cycling. Great access to leading wine areas, where there are lovely restaurants and fantastic reds. If you want to venture further afield, you can reach beautiful coastline. A real haven!

Beautiful villa

We were 5 adults and 4 kids and had I great time in Montabone. The garden and the surroundings are great to relax and the kids were able to roam around as they wanted. There were plenty of toys and games and the pool area is very nice. Asti, Alba, Acqui Terme, Canelli are easily reachable and there is a lot more to explore in the area.

magnifique parc et maison très agréable

maison de charme avec beaucoup d espace et de confort, une vue dont on ne se lasse pas, une grande piscine, un grand domaine avec un tres beau parc ainsi qu un verger et un potager en libre accès. peu de visites culturelles a proximité mais la beauté et le confort de l endroit compensaient, avec de belles balades dans les environs. ce fut un séjour très reposant et les enfants de tous âges étaient ravis.

MAGNIGIQUE MAISON AVEC VUE

Nous avons apprécié nos vacances dans cette maison idéale, décorée avec goût et bien équipée. La vue est extraordinaire , beaucoup de promenade agréable à pied, une grande piscine parfaite du matin au soir. Beaucoup d'espaces pour se réunir et s'isoler. Seul bémol, l'absence d'un accompagnement sur place pour faire face aux dysfonctionnements, coupure d'internet, entretien de la piscine. Christine, Isabelle, Martine and co.

Ours was a serendipitous decision. We bought this typical Piedmont farmhouse because we loved the area and looked for a place for our family to call home during the weekends, for my husband to paint and for me to revel in the joy of tending trees and more recently experimenting with lavender farming in the 10ha property, for which it has incidentally been renamed. Home away from home : it has been just that, and very successfully so, with everybody growing particularly fond of the pool and the atmospheres that form around the outdoor oven-bbq over dinner or on the deck during aperitivo.

Why they chose this property

However the children are now abroad busy with their studies and we are looking forward to having guests experience this beautiful area without them sacrificing privacy and total relaxation. Cascina Lavandara is therefore ideal for groups of friends or families with children or young adults (the later always appreciative of the extended wifi and white screen movie projections).
