Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Constant internet issue which caused the dish network tv not to work for 2 1/2 weeks of the month we were there. In addition we had 2 elevators working out of 7. The maintenance in this property is totally out of hand. We will not be back.

The rooms were nice but the wait for elevators in this resort really leaves you frustrated. Our room was on the 23rd floor and we averaged 30-50 min waits for an elevator. Many of the other visitors at the resort told us they were experiencing the same thing. We talked to hotel staff and they didn’t seem to care at all. We will never stay at this resort again!

During our entire stay, one elevator worked properly! At times you would wait up to 45 minutes for an elevator! And when your condo is on the 23rd floor, taking the steps just isn’t an option.

3 issues but big issues

Lots of construction going on in front of the property. Trucks and other equipment was loud and the tar smell was gross. Second issue was the elevators. There are 7 elevators in the building. One did not work all week and 2 others worked sporadically. Of the 2 in the parking garage, only one worked all week. We were on the 23rd floor, so a lot of time was spent waiting on elevators. Third issue is very little handicapped parking available and several spots had cars in them that did not have handicap hanging tags or license plates. Your staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff was quick, pleasant and the food was good.

Another great stay in Panama City!

This is our 3rd time staying at tidewater. Can’t beat the view! We are a family of 6. There are only 5 large plates and 5 forks. Kitchen is definitely lacking everything you need to cook! Other then that no complaints would stay in this room again!

View was great - elevators and roaches not so much

This view from this room was awesome. The pools, beach and boardwalk were also very nice. The room itself was pretty good. Was light on dishes, and had a bit of a roach problem, but wasn't bad all-in-all. The elevators, on the other hand, were awful. Multiple times we waited 20+ minutes for an elevator. Half the time, when they did show up, they were full so, we had to wait even longer on the next one. Make sure you pre-register. If you don't, there will be an additional $10 fee when you check in. Lastly, know that you will have to pay an additional $35 when you check in for parking and arm bands - on top of the hundreds of $$ you probably already paid in taxes and fees.

Unclean and needs updating

We stayed in room 2307. One of the legs on one of the chairs at the table was very loose and unsafe to sit in. There were also many small roaches we had to kill during our 4 day stay. The pots and pans and painting on the walls also need updating. And of course, the elevators took forever to come and a few times we had to haul our 6 and 2 year old kids up and down 23 flights of stairs. We did, however, enjoy the beautiful ocean view from the balcony.

False advertising

I wouldn’t stay here again. Keypad didn’t work had to be on the phone to get in the room for an hour, wasn’t able to get in the room till 5pm. The price for parking was more than expected. There were no vouchers for family activities like advertise. The water filter didn’t work on the refrigerator. All the dishes pots and pans were dirty and oily.

It was ok but not great.

Always love being at the beach but the facility left something to be desired. Very disappointed in the facility. The elevator was extremely frustrating; the restaurant on site closes at 5:00 PM, the snack shop closed around 3:00 or 4:00. Very misleading online advertising. The room was dirty, the couch was broken and the dryer lint trap was rusted out, just to name a few. Will be back to the beach but not to that facility.

Condo was nice and roomy for a party of 5. The pull out couch however was very uncomfortable. The mattress was very thin and you could feel the springs. The master bedroom and twin beds were nice and comfortable. There were some minor maintenance issues. The overhead light in the master bedroom was blown and we were told that maintenance would be right over to fix it. They never showed up the entire week. The front door needs to be adjusted. It was very hard to close. Once we arrived we noticed glass (by stepping on it) in the living room floor and kitchen floor and we had to vacuum. The sliding door to the balcony latch was broken. (Not a big deal since we were on the 23rd floor). All appliances worked great and the kitchen had everything we needed. There was also an issue with not being able to connect to wifi.

Beautiful View of the ocean and a great property!

This is a great building on a great piece of Beachfront property, the property is well maintained. The view from the condo balcony was amazing and absolutely beautiful. I would definitely go back, the condo had some great upgraded touches such as the granite counters and stainless appliances. The king size bed in the Master was really plush and comfortable, I love my bed at home and this was comparable so I appreciated that! We were on family vacation with our 3 teenagers and there was plenty for them to do at Pier Park which was right up the street. The well maintained beach also provided lots of entertainment with a jet ski/kayak rental place on the property. There are plenty of locally owned quaint restaurants to choose from as well as large franchise restaurants such as Hooter's, Friday's, Buffalo Wild Wings etc... Our main complaint was the elevators, there aren't enough to accommodate all the busy season travelers. Our condo was on the 23rd floor so we had no choice but to wait for them along with many other people waiting, there was often lines to get on the elevators especially on the weekends (Saturday was pretty bad). Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the front desk attendants in the Lobby, they worked for Windham and were rude and unwilling to help anyone who wasn't renting through Windham. As soon as I said my condo # they immediately recognized it as NOT theirs and completely changed from all smiles to "call the owner with any questions as we cannot help you." I said, "can you help me find the elevator and maybe a luggage cart?" the lady was very short with me and clearly needed some training in hospitality and customer service or better yet another profession because she clearly represented the property in a negative way. I am sure I am not the only one who has said this, I could tell she hated her job which is sad and frustrating.
