Loge du Chauffeur, Luxurious Olive Farm Apartment with beautiful interior design

Le Mas du Bois Dore consists of 3 Luxury Gites (apartments) attached to an 1823 stone Mas. There are 2 x 2 bedroom gites that were recently totally remodeled and 1 x 1 bedroom apartment all decorated by a professional interior decorator with French antique decor. Located in the main house is also our beautiful B&B; - La Lavande. Please note that we have different apartments and therefore the price might vary. You can find the correct price on our website or request it per email.

Les Deux Chevaux (2 bedroom, 2 bathroom) overlooks a beautiful pool and La Loge du Chauffeur (2 bedroom, 2 bathroom) and La Cour (1 bedroom, 1 bathroom) are at the other side of the Mas with spectacular views of the Gorges and mountains down to the Mediterranean. The Mas and the gites are 4 km from Mons in the Var.

Les Deux Chevaux is ideal for adult couples or families with children of any age. The Master Suite has a super comfy queen mattress and iron frame with an en-suite bathroom with glass-enclosed shower. The 2nd bedroom has bunk-beds with luxurious 190 cm mattresses. The 2nd bathroom also has a glass-enclosed shower.

La Loge du Chauffeur (2 bedroom, 2 bathroom) is in a separate building with a large, open-plan living room/kitchen. The master bedroom has a queen bed and en-suite bathroom with glass-enclosed shower. The 2nd bedroom has two single beds that can be joined to make a king.

La Cour is the newest one-bedroom gite in the same building as La Loge. An open-plan kitchen/living room leads down a spiral staircase to the ultimate master bedroom: California king 4 poster bed, slipper tub, separate glass-enclosed shower and WC.

All our gites have private gas barbecues and patios, luxurious towels and 300-500 count cotton sheets. Beach towels are provided for pool or beach use. L'Occitane luxury toiletries are available in all bathrooms. La Lavande B&B; bedroom can be added to any of the above gites if you need another bedroom. Our on-site manager/caretaker speaks English, and French and is ready to provide all information for sightseeing and area history. Contacts with the owner can also be in Finnish,Swedish, German or English.

The Mas and attached apartments are set in 2 hectares of olive trees overlooking the mountains that lead down to Cannes and Frejus (45 mins). Tour the "6 Perched Villages", discover Nice, Cannes or Grasse, hike to the Roman waterfalls in the Siagnole Gorge or spend a day by the pool with only the sound of the wind and birds to relax you.

If you wish to exercise, you can use the counter-current system in the swimming pool. The pool will be heated during high season in the summer, late June - August. For day trips to neighbouring villages, or if you wold like to explore tracks in the mountains, you can rent our electric bikes.

Marvellous gite, contains everything that is necessary for relaxed Holidays. Keep in mind that ist is situated very lonely in the middle of the Mountains. We loved it!

We had a wonderful time on site, unfortunately the time passed far too quickly, the flat and the surrounding area offered us everything we needed for a relaxing time, Nico gave us lots of great tips for activities in the surrounding area, the waterfall is really a must for anyone who wants a fresh cool down on hot days, .......... We would love to come back, maybe next year it will work out Björn & Family

Such a lovely place

This is one of the best places, we have ever spent our vacation. We arrived in the evening and were positively surprised, since the host Hannah had bought wine, bread, cheese, tart, strawberries etc., so we didn't have to find a supermarket at this late hour. Furthermore there was tin foil, household film and other stuff, which you normally have to buy yourself. The complex is located high up in the mountains (600 m above sea level), so the drive there is a bit tough, but it is definitely worth the effort. The view is outstanding, and the apartment was so lovely decorated in a french way. Outside the apartment was a table and chairs, where we had both breakfast and dinner (when we stayed at home). The surroundings at the complex were also top class and also kept in a french style. The swimming pool area was also lovely with bathing animals for the children and deck chairs and pillows for the entire family. The nearest town were 4 kilometres away and had only a small supermarket and a bakery, which didn't open until 10 AM, so you need to spend some time to shop groceries. In the surrounding small towns we found several nice restaurants, where we had lovely meals at reasonable prices. It is definetely not the last time, we have stayed here.

Super Séjour au calme

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la loge du chauffeur, en famille avec un enfant de 8 ans. Nous avons tout d’abord été extrêmement bien accueillis à notre arrivée ; en plus d’un tour complet de la propriété, de petits ‘tips & tricks’, nous avons aussi pu découvrir un frigo et une cuisine remplis de plein de bonne choses (confitures, eau, vin, pain, pizza, quiche, café,...) et ,c’est vraiment une attention qui fait la différence! Le logement était vraiment très joli, parfaitement propre et vraiment très bien équipé, même si un système d’air conditionné serait vraiment un plus pour aider pendant les nuits chaudes. La taille du logement est juste parfaite pour 4 personnes. Nous avions aussi une petite terrasse privée, dans un cadre très buccolique et très bien équipée à nouveau (table, parasol et bbq). Le cadre du domaine est aussi vraiment très typique et très joli. L’endroit est parfaitement localisé pour les marcheurs, les amateurs de nature et de calme car assez retiré. Nos deux hôtes ont tous deux aussi été vraiment très charmants, accueillants et très disponibles! En clair, nous recommandons vivement cet endroit!

Wonderfull summer holiday "en famille"

Thank you!!! We had a great time!!! Our family (2 adults, 2 children) had a great summer vacation in Mons, in Le Mas Du Bois Doré. We arrived after a long trip and we were astonished about the extend of Mas Du Bois Doré. The apartment is very tastfull and lovely. Fortunately, the windows have all mosquito protection. Mindi, who took care for the Mas, was very helpful in case of giving ideas for excursions or trips, or any other things. She cared very nicely. We can recommend Le Mas Du Bois Doré for people who want to spend a wonderful, relaxing, unforgettable holiday.

Wonderful resort in Provence

La Loge was a perfect holiday apartment for us. The beautiful Mas is situated in a tranquile environment close to the beatiful town Mons. The garden with a swimmingpool is just lovely. The apartment is wellplanned and practical with good equipment for everydaylife starting from very comfortable beds. We would readily recommend it to anyone who wish to stay either for a short retreat or as a base camp for excursions in the surroundings.

Me and my family have spent many holidays in different parts of France and have grown to love the country; the beautiful small villages, the food, the wine and the "French living". When we saw Le Mas du Bois Doré, we knew that we had found a perfect place for relaxation in Provence. We will continue to develop Le Mas in the same spirit as the former owners.
Our holidays in July and August we spend mostly in the Finnish Archipelago, but in spring and fall, we spend time in the main house on the property.
With help of our local caretaker, we operate our gites and holiday rentals all year round. You will always have somebody there to help you in English or French. With us you can communicate in English, German,Swedish, Finnish and (some) French.
It is our pleasure to ensure that you enjoy your vacation to the utmost and we feel privileged to be able to share the beauty of Provence with our guests.

Le Mas du Bois Doré (farmhouse of the golden wood) is a traditional Provencal mas built in the early 19th century out of local limestone. Perched overlooking the Siagnole Gorge, nestled in the middle of 400 olive trees, the mas invites you to discover the charm and aroma of Provence. Our mas is located only 4 km from Mons, one of the six historic Villages Perchés that make up the Canton de Fayence. Dating from 49 BC and built around a Saracen fort in 1113 AD, this quiet, truly beautiful village and surrounding countryside have much to offer.

Once you enter through the gates you are suddenly struck by the beautiful contrasts between tranquility and haut quality. Low stone walls constructed hundreds of years ago by the Saracens share space with modern gites offering the highest quality amenities in the Var. The surrounding countryside beckons to all discerning holiday travellers, whether looking for outdoor activities, peaceful relaxation, or a combination of both.
