Casa de Arena is an ancient 17th-century Sicilian residence set in the countryside of Aidone, with panoramic views over the surrounding hills and Mount Etna. The villa is rented for exclusive use and is ideal for families, couples, groups of friends and pet-friendly stays, offering privacy, relaxation and generous indoor and outdoor spaces.
The house preserves the authentic charm of a historic stone residence, with refined and welcoming interiors: stuccoed ceilings, elegant vaulted details, fine furnishings, fireplace, smart TV, two sofa areas, a large dining table and a study area.
Outside, two large panoramic terraces, the private garden, olive trees and citrus grove create a private and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for outdoor breakfasts, family lunches, sunset aperitifs and quiet moments in nature.
The large private pool, 12 metres long and 6 metres wide, with a spacious Roman staircase, is open from late March to late October. The pool area is equipped with sun loungers, a shaded gazebo with table and chairs, barbecue, changing room with bathroom, outdoor shower and minibar.
The villa has 4 bedrooms: two spacious double bedrooms with air conditioning and two charming single bedrooms without air conditioning, equipped with portable fans. There are 2 bathrooms, one with a comfortable bathtub and one with a large shower. The large, fully equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing lunches and dinners at home, also with the support of local chefs on request.
Casa de Arena lies at the foot of the Archaeological Park of Morgantina, 5 minutes by car from the Aidone Museum, home to the famous Goddess of Morgantina, and 20 minutes from the Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Caltagirone, Agrigento and local wineries are ideal for cultural day trips and wine tastings, while the beaches of Taormina, Noto and Marzamemi can be reached in less than two hours.
Casa de Arena is pet-friendly. Four-legged guests can enjoy both indoor and outdoor spaces, but for hygiene reasons they are not allowed in the swimming pool.
Parking inside the property, Wi-Fi and a large laundry room are available for guests.
The property caretaker takes care of the daily pool maintenance and the ordinary upkeep of the property. He lives in a separate apartment on the ground floor of the villa, with an independent entrance and no direct view over the pool area. In the host’s absence, he welcomes the guests of Casa de Arena.
The villa and the areas reserved for guests remain for their exclusive use. His presence is discreet, non-invasive and ensures assistance in case of need.
Casa de Arena is rented for the exclusive use of one group of guests. The pool is open from late March to late October. Parking for one or more cars is available inside the property.
Casa de Arena is easily accessible by car: Catania Airport is about 1h/1h15 away, while Palermo Airport can be reached in around 2h30. Syracuse and Agrigento are about 1h40 away. The village of Aidone, with cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries and grocery shops, is only 5 minutes away by car.
