Group of 10 of us stayed here for a weekend. The home is even more beautiful than the photos. Plenty of space, spotlessly clean, and walking distance to restaurants and downtown areas. Highly recommend this property.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
The house was very interesting, and we had a great time. Our host, Carly, was very responsive via text. I believe the house was renovated in 2015 and it is time for a bit of love and attention: the front porch was lovely and the weather was great but there was no furniture on the front porch. The front and back yard could use some work: clean up kudzu and remove old outdoor chairs and wood table. I thought there was going to be a hot tub, but it appears to have been removed. Floor or table lamps in the Living Room and the Primary Bedroom would be nice for reading and relaxing. There were 6 dining chairs for the kitchen and dining room to share, so more dining chairs would be appreciated. Time for new or sharpened kitchen knives. The primary bath is quite gracious but could use a deep clean and polish at the shower. The beds and bed linens were super comfy and we enjoyed the bathrobes. The location is perfect: close enough to walk to downtown Asheville or stroll historic Montford. Also close to several good restaurants.
My group couldn’t have been more pleased with our selection of this property. The house was clean, comfortable, in a great location, and most of all charming! It had everything we needed. We were also able to enjoy the back yard which was a plus. We easily walked where we wanted to go and only Ubered home one night. We would definitely stay hear again and highly recommend this beautiful house! I only gave it 3 Stars for the accuracy of the listing because the listing only indicates 1 bedroom and the loft. There are 3 nice size bedrooms on the second floor in addition to the loft. It was a pleasant surprise and made our stay even better.
Booking and checking in and out was so easy! Brooke was super sweet and I felt like I could go to her with any questions I had! I stayed with my friends from out of town (7 people in total) and there was more than enough room for all of us to stay comfortably - super spacious! The house is walking distance to downtown but we used Uber a couple of times and it was super short car rides. The rooms and beds were super comfortable, and the view of the sunset in the evenings were just perfection. The neighborhood was beautiful and we felt like locals. We will definitely be staying again!!
We loved staying here! Brooke was great in helping coordinating things with the house. The pictures don’t do this house justice, it’s so nice! There was plenty of room for everyone and 3 full bathrooms. We loved the historic vibe of the house. I would stay here again!
Due to the gas shortage, Uber was almost no existent. The house’s location is in a nice neighborhood and is an easy walk downtown. I’ve always tried to stay in this house when I’m in town. It’s large enough for my group of friends to come up to mountain bike. The front porch is a great place to relax both before and after dinner. The beds are very comfortable.
Brooke was very friendly and was there when we arrived to show us around and quickly answered any questions we had.
I’d have no reservations staying here again.
Spent a few days in AVL with the family (kids aged 3 & 6). We loved the location - beautiful walkable neighborhood. We particularly appreciated the large yard where the kids could run around.
Brooke is a great host. Thanks so much!
I booked the house for a girls trip and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Brooke, our house manager, was easy to work with and get a hold up. The house has been beautifully renovated and is in a great neighborhood with close by restaurants. I think our entire group hopes to stay there again!
Beyond wonderful place to stay! Location, charm and plenty of space!!!
My family was on town for a wedding, 6 adults and 2 young children, and this house went far beyond our expectations! There was plenty of room for all of us, more space than we had even expected. We made use of the fire pit in the backyard, and my son spent hours playing ball (fenced in so great for younger children). The house was beautiful with lots of character and charm, the bathrooms were all gorgeous and spacious.
Brooke went above and beyond as the host, welcoming me in person and instantly answering any questions I had throughout the stay. She even introduced me to a toy/equipment rental company that made the stay with our children even easier.
The location was perfect, walkable to downtown and great neighborhood spots.
I cannot say enough great things about this rental, and we are already thinking of when we can come back to Asheville to stay here again.
We had 6 adults, and we had enough space for all. We had a hot water and drainage issue, but the property manager was quick to respond. One of the reasons we booked this property , was for the multiple TVs. Some of our party really like morning news shows and evening news. The satellite never was up and the provider couldn’t send a tech over until the last day of our stay. Again the property manager tried to expedite, but my friends were disappointed. We received some compensation.

Just right
We were in town for our son's wedding, and we had people arriving from various places. The house was perfect for our needs, with plenty of room for everyone. It is located in a historic neighborhood convenienly near downtown, with a lot of character, and the house is very charming.

Clean and comfortable
Loved our stay! Very comfortable and clean. Could use some better stemware and glassware options. Shower soap and Kleenex would have been nice as well. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone!

Perfect for a girls weekend away!
My friends and I stayed in the home for a long weekend, and it was a dream! Plenty of social spaces (indoor and outdoor) plus very comfortable beds and amazing bathrooms. I don't think the pictures do this place justice - it's so nicely decorated and creates a really tranquil environment for a group of women looking to get away. We had every intention of hiking and getting out more, but ended up spending a lot of time talking around the fire pit, cooking in the kitchen and lounging in the "tree house" space. Highly, highly recommend this place!

Lots of Room, Centrally Located, Beautifully Decorated!
Stayed here with our 4 Adult Children while we attended the wedding of our 5th adult offspring. Chris was a pleasure to deal with. Lot’s of room for everyone, very well appointed kitchen, living space and bedrooms. Easy to get anywhere in Asheville (by foot or car)... a real gem of a property. Thanks Chris!

Perfect home away from home in Asheville!
We had a great stay at the Montford house! The location was perfect- less than a mile from town so we could easily walk or grab a quick uber. The house is charming- it has great updates. We had plenty of space for 10 girls with big bathrooms and comfortable sleeping areas and lounging spots. Chris was very easy to work with and made access to the house a breeze. We will be back!

Great house
This was a very funky and cool house in a very convenient neighborhood. The only complaint that I would have would be that they seemed pretty unprepared for a large group of 10 despite us paying for 10 and confirming upon arrival that we had 10 people; there were only 8 towels and we ran out of toilet paper after the first night. When I texted the manager about the towels, he told me that he was sorry and that there wasn't anything he could do and I was welcome to contact the owners. We still had a great stay but would have been a little better if they'd been a little more prepared.

Beautiful house in great location
Beautiful old house fully renovated within walking distance to downtown. We slept 10 people very comfortably and had everything we needed. Fire pit was wonderful, beds comfortable, neighborhood quiet. Christopher was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend this house if you are looking for a large house within walking distance to town.
