The cabin was a fantastic stay, we loved our time. The first night we had a little bit of snow and just really added to the arsthetic especially as we were soaking in the hot tub. It was very cozy, really enjoyed feeding the fire with all of the plentiful firewood our host keeps for the place.
Everything about the place was absolutely amazing. The host, location, cabin, amenities, hot tub, you name it. We had a beautiful time celebrating my husband’s birthday with our 8 month old and two pups.
The views were amazing. Clean property. We had wildlife visitors, squirrels, birds, chipmunks, even had a couple curious foxes come on the deck in the evening. Hot tub was great. I highly recommend this place for a nice getaway.

Davids cabin is exceptional. We saw many critters come right up to the glass doors, heard coyotes while in the hot tub and watched deer roam around while drinking our hot chocolate. David was in constant communication with me, providing lots of tips and recommendations for the area. There are little extras that just make the place perfect, like firewood for the wood burning fire, guest passes for local fishing spots and even bear mace! We will be back!
The property was exactly as listed and very well stocked and clean. We loved watching all the birds enjoying the bird feeders. The wood burning stove was great ambience for chilly evenings.
Dave is an amazing host. The house has everything you need just bring. Cabin is quite and cozy. Secluded but close to gas, groceries and hot coffee. Hiking just minutes down the road, or a day trip to Estes Park or Colorado Springs. Will definitely be back.
Very nice, cozy cabin in the Rocky Mountains. Abundant wildlife, scenic mountain views, relaxing hot tub in a private setting. Close to some great hiking trails, 25 minutes to Conifer, 40 minutes from Denver. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Mike & Sandy were great guests at Deer Creek Log Cabin in Bailey, Colorado. The cleaning crew reported they left the cabin looking great and a nice tip too! These are the kind of folks everyone should want to rent their home. I do hope they come again someday!
We had the best stay! This cabin is so cozy and wonderful! The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable, the hot tub is delightful, the view of the mountains from the deck is so inspiring, and the endless visits of birds to the bird feeders and the peanuts we brought were very entertaining. David, the host, has thought of everything to make your stay perfect. This was our third time to Deer Creek cabin and we will definitely be back again!
We loved this cabin in the Rockies! Close enough to Denver and other sights. The peaceful relaxation cannot be overstated. If you’re a fan of beautiful views and the quiet of a mountain retreat close to the city this is the place for you!
Perfect spot for our respite from the Texas heat and to attend our granddaughter’s intimate wedding celebration.
Lots of friendly critters and birds to watch while sitting on the porch.
We just needed a get away, this was it. We watched the birds and looked at the squirrels and chipmunks. We enjoyed the view and soaked up the quiet. This was an amazing trip!
We had a wonderful little stay at this cozy beautiful cabin. David was awesome to work with he gave us all the information we would need. We were able to take our pups and just enjoy the beautiful mountains and relax. I highly recommend this cabin.

Why they chose this property
David fell in love with this secluded log cabin the moment he walked inside in 1999. He bought it on the spot. It has been a special place for him ever since. He is proud to say 99.9% of all folks who have rented it feel the same way, because most of them are repeat renters year after year.
What makes this property unique
This cabin contains NO sheetrock. It is log inside and out. The floor to ceiling windows in the main room boast amazing views of the mountains and forest surrounding the cabin. The deck on 3 sides of the cabin is 8 feet deep giving plenty of room to be outside and enjoy the amazing Colorado atmosphere. Standing on the deck you are almost 9,000 feet up in the Rocky Mountains! There are 2 fabulous easy hiking trails on national forest within 10 minutes of the cabin... Meridian Trail and Tanglewood Trail.
