Clayton and his group left our historic downtown home near as a pin and they brought 2 dogs with them. They had several vehicles that were secure within our gated compound and were easy to host.

Host responded quickly and house was nice. Note: the fee for dogs may be charged after the stay and not included in the original invoice. We spoke with the host and advised we would be taking dogs with us before booking and the host sent us the link for booking. Then after we left the host sent us an additional invoice for the dogs. This was misleading as you would expect that this was included in the original cleaning cost on the booking invoice.

Unique house close to the party but away from the crowds.

Lovely little house with good parking. Stayed here with some coworkers for a conference in town. The house is unique with old school feel but just enough updates to meet all your needs. Plenty of hot water for several people to take back to back showers. Nicely equipped kitchen so you can make your own meals and save a little. The front Patio and garden are wonderful in the evening, especially if it's raining. Good AC and fans for those hot summer nights. Thank you so much Pat!

Very convenient location, nice big bedrooms, plenty of parking behind the house secure gate and door access. The only glitch was the house alarm going off when we arrived and there was no reply from host on phone call or message. It eventually stopped but still showed emergency light on display and we were concerned police would come out. Fortunately it didn't go off again.Be aware that the second bathroom is behind kitchen so not very convenient. Also no hanging space for dresses in 3 of the rooms, just shelves. The snacks, water and wine were a very nice to touch.I gave some feedback that kitchen needs better shelf space for pots, pans and guest dry food but got no response from the host.

Downtown Nashville

We enjoyed our stay while in Nashville. The house was close to all the downtown attraction but also far enough away that you didn’t hear all the late night noises. We didn’t drive anywhere the whole time during our stay. Our host was very informative about places to eat, things to do and about not trying to drive and park while in Nashville. The house was very well represented. The only thing was there was no living room to sit and watch tv together. You had to watch in the room where one of the couples slept. Would advise opening up a living room or having a tv in both bedrooms especially if it would have been raining. Over all we were very pleased and felt safe.

All the comforts of home

Outstanding for two couples. Pat is a very attentive host and has considered all the details to make her place an exceptional visit in Nashville. Yes, we would stay again! Make sure that you check out the music at Third and Lindsey only a few blocks away; Broadway is only a mile away and a pleasant walk; The Southern is just under a mile also - making for a great location!

Thank you Dennis-it was a pleasure to host you all! Yes 3rd and Lindsley is a great listening venue and I'm so glad you enjoyed my suggestion of The Southern...it always a great dinner place and we love to go there before the Preds NHL games...and close to all the Titan NFL games as well. Next time perhaps make time for the City Winery that is also within walking distance for music as well. I hope to see you all again soon! Love hosting visiting artists...

About the host

Hosted by Pat Garmezy

My husband and I looked for several years for our downtown home. When we finally found it we knew with the crossing of the threshold we knew this was exactly what we were looking for...two months of renovations later we were able to move in. We often walk to downtown for dinner or a Predators game too. Nashville has exploded around our location and that means lots of restaurants to choose from and special events too.

Why they chose this property

With huge rooms we knew The home had good bones but badly needed updating. We replaced all the floors with red oak flooring that is beautiful. And the high ceilings are embossed with each room slightly different in appearance as well as crown
Mouldings. We also were able to garden and have added a beautiful perennial garden because the soil is so rich...everything grows! We also added a red wrought iron fence surrounding the property for privacy and gated parking for up to 6 autos.

What makes this property unique

Here's what some of our past guests have said: " The place is magic" ; Location is Great...many of our reviews speak of the charm md huge rooms. "Even prettier than the pictures"...loved sitting on the front porch with my morning coffee... your home is a real gift...we loved staying here....it's a Palace! Front porch is lovely with coffee or in the evening before going out for the nite
