Centrally located casita

We loved the location as it was close to the Huckleberry Loop, Trader Joe’s and other businesses. Equally distant from the East and West Saguaro National Parks for hiking. The casita isn’t large, but it has everything you need. And owners were responsive to our questions and requests.

Peaceful, immaculate, and enjoyable

It was such a pleasure staying in Liz's guest house. She's an amazing host and we felt at home and welcomed on her property and in her neighborhood. Liz is outstanding at replying to all queries and respectful of her guests. My family would absolutely stay at Liz's guest house again in a heartbeat. Her property is located close to everything and walking in her neighborhood is a joy.

40 year devoted Tucson resident. Hailing from the northwestern states I also enjoyed living in the Arizona White Mountains, Canada, and in younger days worked as a musician in Costa Rica, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Returned to UA in my 50's and now busy playing music again in my 60's with wonderful people is a surprise blessing! My daughter Aria co-hosts with me now and we enjoy the process. Also a singer, she teaches neuro-diverse kids equine therapy and riding lessons - as well as anyone who wants to ride :)
Some guests we never see, and some become life-long friends. We welcome you all!

Why they chose this property

Location! This locally cherished older neighborhood in the 'Baked Apple' is so convenient to most local attractions including the 100 mile bike loop path.
This former ranch area is now encircled by the city. We are minutes from the UA, The Loop (100 miles of non-motorized path in and around Tucson), weekend Farmers' Markets, and so much more. Walk to groceries, restaurants, a French bakery, nature, and parks.
Since 2014 we have been installing passive rain harvesting systems and planting native. Much of this neighborhood is also involved in water harvesting.

What makes this property unique

Sip beverages on the back patio facing the Catalina Mountains through the trees. BBQ and dine in privacy outdoors next to the pool under an old mesquite tree. Large picture windows and glass doors surround the living and master bedroom, inviting native landscape and natural light indoors.
Enjoy strolling and biking our wide, pleasant streets. Walk or bike to The Loop, 100 miles of non-motorized pathway. An arroyo wildlife corridor through the neighborhood connects us to the Rillito Wash and desert. We share the half acre property with bunnies, hibernating ground squirrels, and numerous varieties of lizards. A javelina herd occasionally wanders by. You may be lulled to sleep by the mystical sounds of hooting owls or coyotes. Walk to groceries and a French cafe. Dozens of diverse restaurants are very nearby.
