A group of work friends and I stayed after floating anc it was the perfect spot! Spacious, clean, plenty of room for everyone! Thank you for a great stay!
Spacious comfortable space, great deck, great location! Right by the river. Trails through the river bottoms are excellent. Cool place, I wish we lived there.
The cabins were exactly as advertised. Check-in was easy, the hosts were very welcoming & accommodating to our group's needs. We'll be back in the spring/summer to kayak!
Had a few families with their kids stay here and it was perfect for weekend stay. Took the kids to the river on the first day to play and worked with a local company to go on a float trip the next day. Jan did a great job communicating with us from the time we booked to the end of the trip.
This is a beautiful home with a very calming feel from the moment you walk in. The view from the back deck is amazing and the private access to the river was perfect for relaxing with the family.
We all really enjoyed our weekend. I highly recommend the house for a float trip or a family weekend. House was clean and well stocked. We will be back.
Our family stayed in both Herron's Landing and The Hawk's Nest. I can't tell you enough how great the accommodations were. Jan and Tom were so helpful, and have thought of everything. The area is so peaceful and quiet. We loved the big open gathering area in Herron's Landing, and the board games available were a great touch for some family fun on a rainy night. We will definitely be back!!!
This place was perfect for all of our needs- the beds were comfy, the kitchen is very well stocked, plenty of towels, toilet paper and bedding. Kitchen has a few coffee pots, blender, crock pot, etc. There were also fans and heaters in each closets if needed. The AC works great, very spacious and great for groups. We had 9. The kitchen was great since we had a LOT of food. The extra fridge on the porch was perfect also for extras. The walk to the river is just a few minutes walk and the beach/river area gave us the fun we needed and our own space. Definitely going back!
It was plenty of room for 4 adults and our dogs. Was a little disappointed when it flooded from the rain one night but the property maintenance took care of the water right away.
This is the 2nd time we stayed here, it has worked great as a location for our family to get together. This location has a great gravel river area to sit by the river, play in it and fish.
We all enjoyed a lot staying at Heron’s Landing. But we felt a little sad that we didn’t stay 2 nights. I will recommend this place to anyone who like to come, take a little jungle tour to river, have a bbq night, play cards/ monopoly and have a relax time with your favorites. Host was amazing and thanks again. We will come again.
Great combo cabins for an extended family gathering. Our favorites were the decks that faced the wooded areas; fire rings; adequate kitchen facilities for multiple cooks; hiking trails to the river; awesome area floating opportunities; Onondaga Cave and quiet setting excluding our family group as we enjoyed the fire rings, games, refreshments and conversations until past midnight. Would recommend Driftwood River Cabins to friends.
Would suggest improved maintenance both inside and outside for preservation of rentals. In addition an inspection by the owners for adequate cleanup both inside and out before the arrival of new quests.
We have been floating Meramec River a couple years staying at various places. We loved Driftwood because of river access. We could set up chairs and canopy at the river and stay for hours. Bedrooms and bathrooms were good size. Charcoal grill was in great shape, many comfortable
places to sit outside around house.
We stayed here while on a long-distance move and I wish we’d had more than one night to spend! This is a beautiful property in a gorgeous setting. Check-in was easy, the rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. I hope we can make it back someday!

Great trip!
We really enjoyed the space inside and the ability to relax outside. We contacted Jan a couple times for simple questions, but she came right out to help and get us what we needed. Very responsive.
