144 Monroe was perfect for our group of 5 during our recent trip to the Glen! The home had plenty of space for everyone, and the kitchen was reasonably well appointed for our group to enjoy a home cooked meal before we set out to explore the town. We look forward to booking again next year when we return for our annual trip to the track!

This is the second year in a row that we stayed at this house and we just love it. There is plenty of room for our whole family, the house is clean and well stocked and it is within walking distance to the town. I would definitely recommend booking here.

The home was AMAZING! The communication with the host was super easy and fast throughout the process before, during and after our stay. The bedrooms are extremely large and most have a view of the lake which was a nice bonus. If you walk down the hill and take a right you are at the parking lot to the Gorge. Easy walking to downtown for food and entertainment. We were in town for a wedding and our extended family had ample room to get ready at the same time. I can't say enough about this location and the amenities too!

The location was great, view was awesome. Check in was easy, communication was great. Just a few suggestions: need hooks in the bathroom, a new skillet, and cookie sheets would be nice to heat thing up in the oven. Other than that a great time! Thank you!

Fantastic Finger Lakes Hike and Wine

Perfect location - close to the State Park for an amazing morning hike through the gorge. Centrally located to all the choice wineries and different lakes. Walkable to town for food and late-night frolicking. Would definitely stay again when back in the area.

Graduation Weekend

We stayed so that we could conveniently travel to/from Ithaca for graduation weekend. The trails were wonderful, the wineries were wonderful and the town was convenient and beautiful.

Wonderful stay!

The property was just as pictured and had plenty of room for a large group! It was also very clean inside and in a perfect location to walk to the Wine Trolley or to the local restaurants and shops. The owner was extremely kind and answered my questions immediately. Highly recommend!

Amazed with the number of 10 out of 10 reviews. Very odd property layout and cheaply built and furnished. Pros: Very difficult to find a property in Watkins Glen to accommodate a large group. Property has 5 decent size bedrooms. Deck floor has been upgrade with trex but railing needs replacing. Lots of chairs provided. Enjoyed sitting on deck overlooking downtown. Very close to the park and downtown. Cons: Odd layout. 1 bedroom is downstairs but 2 full bathrooms are located on this level. Main floor has 1 bedroom but no air unit. Got very stuffy!! This floor had 1/2 bath. Top floor has 3 bedrooms with air units and 2 full baths. Beds are worn out. Very uncomfortable. Definitely should replace. The main concern was leaky ceiling. Woke up after a night of rain hearing drips. The closet in the bathroom had obviously been leaking for a while. Ceiling was moldy and paints chips were in the floor. Messaged host and sent pictures. A maintenance guy was sent to the house with a can a paint. Wasn’t going to fix the problem. He left. We really enjoyed our trip but 5 of our 8 guests returned home sick. Suspect home might be full of mold.

We chose this property because of its location to the state park and we were very pleased with that. The size of the home was great for our party. A little quirky on the layout but overall a large home for big parties that want to stay within walking distance to the park, lake, and town.

Great place for a friends trip

I would definitely recommend this home for a large group. Plenty of space for 5 couples. We all had plenty of room to move around and each bedroom had a queen bed. This place has a great location to be able to go to wineries and breweries on either side of the lake. The only suggestion our group had was an 11am checkout vs 10am as several of the places we wanted to go to before leaving the lake didn’t open until 11.

I can’t recommend this property enough. Location, location, location. It is a 2 minute walk to Watkins Glen State Park and downtown.We had 9 adults and there was plenty of room. The large upper deck allows great view of downtown and the lake. The property is on a one way street and the location throws GPS off a little, but once you figure out the flow it is really easy to get to, even during a busy NASCAR race weekend.We had a little snafu with the front door key and the property owner couldn’t have been nicer and very understanding about it.

Great place

Everything about this location is how it's listed. Very clean and contemporary. My only MINOR complaint is that there were not enough towels for 10 people, but one some of our group couldn't make it and we only had 8 so it was fine. We will definitely be staying here again!

Thank you for your feedback Karen! There should have been an ample supply of extra towels, I am sorry about that!! (Usually all 4 bathrooms have 4-6 towels, anywhere from 16-24) I will make sure that does not get missed next time and I am so glad you enjoyed your stay :)
