We truly loved our stay, best place to disconnect & enjoy some peace, location was a short walk to river. Highly recommend checking out, taking some time away from hustle and rush of daily life taking some peaceful time to take a deep breath.
We really loved this vacation home. It wasn't big, but the owners provided everything we needed. MaryAnn were not only welcoming also very patient to helping us use the facilities. The property location was fantastic, and we enjoyed every minute we spent there. I think we'll definitely come back.
The cabin is so inviting! Stepping onto the property you really feel lighter in a sense. A perfect getaway to connect to nature. Amazing hot water and well working AC helps to feel like you aren’t too remote/off grid. The very quick path to Mermaid springs/santa Fe river is truly the highlight as you can catch the sunrise/sunsets easily and not be turned away due to capacity in other springs. Hosts were so friendly, welcoming and respectful of the shared space. Bonus to seeing a river otter while paddle boarding and a family of deer on the way out of the property. Grocery stores are within 20 mins so if you forget something it’s not too much of a hassle. Thank you for the unforgettable experience of Rum Island!
Loved the cabin and location! Very convenient to the springs. Rum Cabin was well stocked with every need. Managers were extremely helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!
Beautiful location and just the cutest little cabin ever!! Very quiet and just steps down the path to the river and spring!!!.. Dave and Mary Ann are amazing hosts and we will definitely be going back!!!
This cabin was the perfect getaway for enjoying the beautiful Santa Fe River and nearby springs. The location offers the right mix of nature, peace, and privacy—exactly what I was looking for. The hosts were excellent and incredibly friendly; they even went out of their way to help jump my car when my battery died, which I truly appreciated. If you’re looking for a relaxing, secluded spot surrounded by nature with thoughtful and caring hosts, this is the place.
The cabin was a perfect little weekend getaway! Such a beautiful, quiet property with easy access to the river. We had such a nice time and can't wait to come back!
Highly recommend! You are steps away from a beautiful spring! The cabin is well stocked and clean! It is our fourth year visiting and will be back again!

We are both retired and love where we live and love to share it with others. The cabin is private, in a clearing in the woods. Our house is on the other end of the property. We are from St. Louis, but have lived in Florida for over 40 years.
