We stayed for 2 nights at Casita Blu cabins. It was comfortable and rustic, the bed was great, we had everything we needed. The property on the river was lovely, Brian, the property host, had canoes and kayaks for use while staying at the cabins. We had a laid back time there and enjoyed driving the roads by Ingram, Hunt, Comfort, and Kerrville.
We loved every minute in that river! Thank you so much for so many boats, canoes, and kayaks to choose from. To top it off all the equipment was included! We had a blast! We appreciate you so much for having us and we will definitely do it again soon!

River stop
It was a really cute place. Thought it was more private. There are 7 little places all together but really didn't notice. Only problem was that the trash was full and was never emptied- but had a nice relaxing time-

Relaxing, comfortable, and picturesque!
We had a great time at Casita Blu! The river was refreshing and beautiful, the grounds are neat and spacious, and best of all, it's dog friendly! We enjoyed using the canoe and swimming in the private river access right across the street, as well as exploring other swimming holes in the area. The accommodations aren't fancy, but they are cozy and well-appointed, with full-size appliances, a comfortable bed, strong, hot water in the shower, wi-fi, and a thousand TV channels. We really liked having meals at the kitchen counter, and then relaxing on the front porch with a beer while our dog played in the yard. The owners are very welcoming, helpful, and friendly, and they even have a cabin full of inflatables, canoe paddles, and anything else you might need to enjoy a relaxing vacation on the Guadalupe. Highly recommended for an easy getaway!
This place reminded me of a hippie village. While the bed was very very soft and comfortable for me my husband did not like it at all. This place feels like a small cabin that’s been worked on by an amateur. This place has lots of possibilities but seems very hippie. I wouldn’t pick to stay here again.
The place was great for kayaking, and was clean. The shower was horrible because the head shot at the wall and couldn't be adjusted.. Never got to communicate with owner even though I emailed and called. The river was awesome but the street crossing was dangerous being that people were driving 60+mph. Overall we had fun the place was quiet and as a family we enjoyed getting away but we felt like the owners were unreliable and absent. It would have been nice to get a response to my email and call..that was unfortunate. For that reason I can't give the cabin 5 stars so I rate it a 3.5 out of 5
Overall nice place with a relaxing atmosphere. Great access to the river and waterfront.
Easy to rent via Vrbo. Key was inside cabin at check in and everything was available that we needed. Inside was a little more rustic than we saw in pictures but it was great! Loved how much sleep space it offered.
River front was nice and enjoyable. We enjoyed the option of kayaking and the rope swing! Kids loved this! Only downside was that the overgrowth of plants in the river was in about 50% of the river we had access to for swimming.
We plan to be back next year to share it again with our friends and family!
We attended a local graduation and chose to stay at Casita Blu for our third visit to hide out when not at obligatory functions. We love the peace and quiet and easy access to our family. Also it's casual and has all the necessities with none of the Hastie's in town.
Really enjoyed my stay, as I always do when visiting the gorgeous Hill country! Cabin was clean and well stocked with everything you would need for a weekend stay in the hill country. Each cabin has its own firepit right outside the cabin. Firewood on-site for a minimal fee. River access directly across from the cabin made for a great way to spend the afternoon! Overall a wonderful experience and I'll definitely be back!
We really enjoyed the location and all the outdoor activities the hill county has to offer. We especially enjoyed kayaking and the fire pit. Though the road to cross to the river is a bit busy at times.
The cabin is pretty small but have all the basics. The bathroom is really tiny for a family of 4 but for the weekend that was manageable. Pictures are accurate.
We absolutely love this cabin. There is enough space between cabins to have privacy but get the privilege of having the canoes, kayaks, and the river. The full kitchen, 2 beds, firepit, grill, and proximity to great bike trails and hiking. Great for a family get-away!
The cabin was really nice and the manager very helpful. We were disappointed with the river access. The town of Ingram is very disappointing because here is no public access to the river for fishing.
The cabin needs its drains to be fixed as they clog up easily.
We've stayed here many times over the years and really love it. The cabins are delightful, the river location is perfect, and the guest services are wonderful. Highly recommended.

Casita Blu is a very nice, clean and quite. We loved that each cabin has its own fire pit and grills. The private access to the river is also great with the perfect part of the river for kids to swim or fish. We will be going back!!!
It's like summer camp except you get to do whatever you want!
I love Casita Blu, and have been visiting for at least 4 summers. It's comfortable and quirky and like traveling back in time, except with air conditioning and running water. Of course the big attraction is the Guadalupe River, just across the road.
It's a perfect way to while away the afternoon, either in the water or on the shady shore. Canoes and kayaks are available for the more adventuresome, with paddles and life vests up by the cabins.
It's the one activity that all of my family can agree upon and make room in our lives for-- Cabin Time!
