Located in Normandy, in the heart of pays d'Auge region, 5 minutes from the A13 motorway exit, 15 minutes from Deauville and 20 minutes from Honfleur and 40 minutes from Le Havre and Caen, La Vie de Cocagne is much more than a luxury gite or a holiday rental.
Our outdoor hot tub located on the wooden deck facing the lounge area allows you relaxation moments all through the year.
Built on our property, but far enough away to preserve your intimacy, la Vie de Cocagne has only one goal : becoming your proper home for a week-end, a week or your holidays, without having to manage all the tasks and expenses of a second home.
Probably built in the 18th century, the house is a former half-timbered stable and untill recently a barn for our donkeys and horse. Entirely renovated, it is now a comfortable cottage, with wide open windows which give on to the surrounding fields.
Wanting to give you the spirit of home, we have decorated with family furniture, Farrow and Ball paints and addedd contemporary interiors, (stainless steel appliances, flat screen television, Apple TV with Netflix and Prime video free access, Sonos soundbar and free wifi), heated outdoor hot tub;
Two bedrooms with shower en suite, ideal for couple stay or group of friends. The house is ideal for an ideal capacity of 2 to 4 adults.

Why they chose this property
When we bought the property in 2000, we started renovating the main house where we are leaving. There was a barn on the estate which was falling apart. We started renovation in 2006, to turn it into a private guest house. We opened it to travellers in May 2007. The aim was to offer a comfortable secondary house to make our guests feeling at home.
