Tropical decor with lots of sunshine and space in Key West style duplex (2nd floor living) with sunning porch to south, screened porch to east and warm ocean breezes drifting through! (Owner's garage on 1st level.) 1 block to beach on Atlantic Ocean. Located on South Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce. Parking available for boat (ramp 2 blks) or trailer. Remodeled and completely furnished with all kitchen and linen items, cable, Wi-Fi and washer, dryer. Neat and clean. Other side of duplex is owner occupied. Beautiful neighborhood, very low traffic.

Fort Pierce Beauty

This is a wonderful property, walk to beach nice breezes, comfy beds and nice owner. Really enjoyed our stay here. Sad to leave but more people need to be able to enjoy this listing.

Perfect vacation home

The home is a perfect place to get away. Close to the beach and the river, with several local restaurants, it was in just the right location to enjoy the area without being crowded. We would definitely recommend this place to everyone looking to vacation in Ft Pearce!!!

Layover To New Home

We stayed at Shawn’s for a month while waiting to move into our new home. She greeted us right away and showed us around the apartment. It was equipped with everything you would need to be comfortable especially the kitchen. One balcony was screened and the other an open deck. We enjoyed both every day. The neighborhood was walkable to the beach and restaurants. She was happy to share information about the area and points of interest . We couldn’t have asked for a better place or a host!

We will return for sure!

My family had to come to Ft Pierce for an extended stay for a family emergency. The house was perfect! It was very clean and well stocked. It had everything that we could have wanted and much more. Though we were not there for the beach, everything is very close by. We could easily walk to the beach and to restaurants. Shawn was an excellent hostess, and was great at recommending things to do in our pockets of "free time." Since this trip we have already stayed at another of her properties as well when we needed to come back on short notice. I would stay at this home or one of her properties again in a heart beat and have already recommended all her properties to other family members that might need to come visit. Stay in this home. You will not be disappointed!

Superb Duplex Rental!

My husband and I tried VRBO for the first time ever this year. We were very wary of doing this and kept our fingers crossed for a good experience. We had a great experience and would not hesitate to rent again from the owner of this property. The unit is more spacious than it appeared in the photos. It is bright and airy with ceiling fans, vaulted ceilings, and a great cross breeze with the front door open. If air conditioning is needed, it is quiet and cools down quickly. The kitchen is well supplied, the water pressure is great! We loved the location on a quiet street with less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. There are many things to see and do in the region, including lots of reasonably priced golf courses. There is no misleading information in the description and pictures of this property. The owner is willing to do most anything to make your stay enjoyable!

Awesome Vacation Getaway!

My husband and I recently returned from our very favorite vacation getaway. It's a lovely, very clean and well maintained home located on a quiet street a block from the beach. The property owner is extremely committed to making our vacation perfect for us. She supplies, among many other things, lounge chairs for the decks, of which there are 2, one sunny and the other screened in and shaded for comfort. Added plus's are 2 full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, flat screen tv, separate laundry room as well as a walk in closet! The duplex is sunny and spacious during the day, and in the evening stars sparkle ever so brightly from the deck as you hear the waves gently caress the shore.......as you can readily imagine, we eagerly look forward to our next visit! We sincerely recommend this unique home knowing it offers everything necessary for a wonderful, relaxing and memorable Florida vacation !!

Great clean home with lots of room!

Stayed here for 3 months from 11/1/15 to 2/1/16. Had no idea what to expect since we have not been to this area of Florida. The home is wonderful and the owner is on top of everything! Very clean and spacious with 2 decks. One is screened and the other is not which is great for morning coffee and sun!!!! Location is only 1 block from ocean and you can even hear is roar at night. I would rate this excellent but for me that means right on the beach with a pool but this home is great. Neighborhood is so quiet and we walked often. You are close to the river on one side and ocean on the other. Many restaurants nearby and great small town with weekend events. Highly recommend this property or any from this owner.

I followed my father to Florida in 1999 and never left this beautiful island! A snowbird turned Floridian having grown up in Michigan. Most of my family are still putting up with the frozen pipes while I have my windows open to enjoy the warm winter breezes!

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with this beachy laid back area that has more activities to participate in than you can imagine!

What makes this property unique

I tell everyone I don't think I could ever leave my block or my house. I can get to my car without a raindrop touching me thanks to the covered walkway. The rain cascades off the roof extending out over the flower beds...what a perfect Florida design! The open porch on the side is for sunning while the east porch is screened for cocktails and dining. The moon rising and moving across the southern sky can be seen all night out your windows. The new rockets being launched from Kennedy Space Center can be seen right from the east porch. Turtle nests are on our beautiful, quiet beaches...no crowds here. Walk around the corner and across A1A at either end of our one block long subdivision and go to two different beach areas with facilities. One block away you can put your boat in the intracoastal waterway, between the island and mainland, and in 15 min. (manatee zones) be in the ocean. Swim in the intracoastal, faces west, when the ocean beach has huge waves!
