Nestled on the shore of beautiful Lake Hudson, one of the top 100 fishing lakes (64th) in the U.S. as rated by Bassmaster, Leave all the stress behind and relax at our quiet, peaceful resort, Enjoy our beautiful two-story home overlooking Lake Hudson and gardens. Horseshoe INN is a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom updated home with a large open kitchen and living area and a covered porch overlooking the lake.

The upstairs is a family suite with 2 bedrooms and a luxury bathroom. The 1st bedroom has 1 king bed, and 1 queen bed. The 2nd bedrooms has 2 twin beds and 1 full/double bed. The bathroom features a walk-in shower, jetted oversized tub, and double vanities. The upstairs has a separate air conditioner, heater and ceiling fan, as well as carpeted floors to help muffle the sound of little running feet. Beautiful views of our 5 acre resort can be seen out the large windows or enjoyed from the covered private balcony.

Downstairs has an open living/dining/ kitchen. The kitchen has an electric stove, microwave and refrigerator. Fully equipped with pots/pans, dishes, utensils, glassware, coffee pot, crock pot, mixer, and toaster. Living area has a sectional sofa and is a comfortable place to sit and take in all the beauty. This home features two large dining tables that can be the central gathering place for board games, playing cards or working puzzles. Wall mounted smart TV in the living room with plenty of comfortable seating.

There is a wrap around deck. The sun deck overlooks the pool and the shade deck overlooks the lake. Tables and chairs and lounge chairs are provided for your comfort.

The shaded deck has two ceiling fans to keep you cool while you enjoy the fresh, country air. Relax as you enjoy the view and fresh air.

Beautiful grounds to explore and enjoy our landscaping. Volleyball, croquet, kayaking, horseshoe pitching and bird watching are just a few of the ways to spend your time on the property.

Great fishing off the dock or shoreline. Fishing, sight seeing around the 12,000 acre lake or tubing are great ways to enjoy the water.

Need more room? We have a bunk house with two additional bathrooms, kitchen, TV and air conditioning. It is set up with table and chairs for dining or playing games. RV sites, cabins and camping area available for the rest of your friends or family who would like to join you.

If day guests join you, it is $5 per person, per day (including kids).

Great place to stay

We loved it! Spent hours in the pools. The lake and kayaking was fun. Very quiet place. The manager was quick to respond to any needs we had. The pictures on the website don’t show how great this place really is. The lodge was perfect for our family!

Our family of 10 had plenty of room to spread out. Lake was amazing. Great flat space for the kids

Recommend this vacation spot. Owners were there if needed. Propery very well maintained. Comfortable!

Loved the water!!

Loved the private pool, tubing on the lake and the beautiful lake view!! Fred and Linda were awesome hosts. The home is equipped with everything you would need and so clean. Very quiet and peaceful resort, even on a holiday weekend.

Great family getaway

We had a great time with our 3 grown children and grandchildren. The INN easily accommodated our family of 11 and had a large well stocked kitchen. It was wonderful having a private swimming pool and hot tub. Being waterfront property made for great views and fishing. We also rented the pontoon boat and was a great guide and was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this property for a nice relaxing getaway.

Great Place

Definitely a place I would stay again and I would recommend. Plenty of room for everyone and we had 17. Plenty of dishes, towels and places to sleep, and the air conditioners worked great. The covered porch was great to set on on the morning and evening. The kids enjoyed the lake, and the pool was enjoyed by all. The owners were wonderful.

Family Vacation

Loved our relaxing vacation. The home was just as stated. Had plenty of room. Three Bedrooms downstairs with 2 bathrooms, large living area, formal and normal dining areas. Two bedrooms upstairs. Plenty of room for a huge family. Nice sized kitchen with everything that you would need to make excellent meals. Had a grill for when you wanted to bar-b-que. Everything was excellent. The owner's were wonderful to work with and if anything was needed they were quick to get it to you. The property had a pool which was wonderful to relax in and privacy to enjoy your family time together. Close to the lake for fishing, we enjoyed a wonderful morning sunrise. We definitely would go back!!

Beautiful lake house!

We stayed at this beautiful house for a mini vacation with our 4 grown children and there spouses and grandchildren. We had a great time!!! We enjoyed the private pool and sitting on the wrap around deck talking and watching the kids play on the horse swing and small playground. We saw so many deer each morning and evening, and all the boys enjoyed fishing at the dock. It is so peaceful and relaxing. We will diff entry be back, and I would recommend to anyone. The house is beautifully decorated and plenty of room for large groups or family get togethers. Very well stocked with dishes pots and pans, everything you need is there. Linda was so helpful answering all of our questions and quick to reply. Thankyou so much for letting us stay at your property! We had a great time! And Thank Dave and Debbie for us they were both very helpful and great host!

Great Location for a Low Key Family Vacation

Our family ranges in all ages and we were looking for a location that allowed us to keep all of the children and teens entertained without running to outside activities. We wanted to have our meals together and just embrace our rare family time together, while being able to accommodate our youngest grandchildren with their naps and needs. This location was nestled away in the country with lake views and plenty of space, easy for walks and daily runs, swimming, fishing, and large porch that allowed for endless hours of conversation during all hours of the day. Salina, OK is close by with a Dollar General and Harp's grocery store to pick up any extra items. We opted to prepare all of our meals for our stay, which was a lot of fun to have multiple generations in the large kitchen to help. Becky (host) is most helpful and checks in often to see if you need anything, including a mid week check in for paper products and dish soap, etc. The washer and dryer were helpful to have during our stay. While you are in close proximity to a small number of individuals camping at the campground, our crew did not feel crowded in the least, but be aware, you are around other people onsite. All guests were multi aged and friendly and seem to appreciated the quieter atmosphere. This was not a fancy location, but a family location with plenty of space for catching up and creating new memories.

2nd Year Family Reunion

We enjoy the easy pace of this property. There is still lots to do but no crowds. Linda and Fred are so accommodating. They respond very quickly to any needs or concerns. Our family of 20 ages 2 - 76 has enjoyed this retreat now for 2 years.

Perfect for families!

We loved our stay here! Our party included 10 adults & 6 kids under 10 & we all fit comfortably. The host was very responsive & kind & even shipped us a couple of items we left behind. It was really nice having the private pool since there are so many of us. Fishing at the lake was also a huge hit. Highly recommend this property!

Great place for large group

We had the best time just relaxing- The pool was awesome and so clean. We took advantage of it daily. Kayaking was nice for my daughter. Linda was super nice and helpful. Overall it was a good experience. Would recommend!

Very Relaxing!

Everything was perfect, the house was so welcoming. Hosts very accommodating. We loved the front porch, the pool and close proximity to the water. Great trip and will definitely book again!

Great stay!

We had a great stay for our family! There was plenty of room for everyone. The porch was a favorite place to hang out and visit. The kitchen was well stocked and big! It allowed us to cook for our group of 11. Floating in the pool was also a favorite activity. We had a great time!!

Relaxing and CLEAN!

We booked a last minute rental for our family and was hesitant due to COVID, however, found that the home was perfect. Upon arrival, Linda provided access information and we did our normal wipe down -no fingerprints, dust or grime! Although the rental it is located on a camp ground with other rentals/RVs, it was a quiet weekend for us. Listing is exact with # of bedrooms and bath. Plenty of space for 8 individuals to roam around whether it was inside, around the property to the lake or private pool. Home had all the kitchen supplies you would need including towels in the bathrooms. Linda graciously welcomed us and we enjoyed our conversation with Fred. You can tell they take wonderful care of their rental property & guests. Thank you Linda and Fred for your hospitality!

Lots of space for a big family

This house has plenty of space for adults and kids, large kitchen with everything you might need. It was spotless inside except for the smell of cat urine in a back room closet that some fabreeze helped. My only complaint was that the host did not let us know that the pontoon boat advertised would not be rented out due to COVID and social distancing. I completely respect the reasons for not renting it but if we were told up front we could have rented a boat from a nearby marina in advance of our trip. Once we were already there, of course all the marina boat rentals were booked. The boat doc was also "under construction" so we were not able to go out on it which was disappointing. Also, they only time I reached out to the host by text to ask about the pet policy she literally screamed back at me in all caps and it was very rude and unsettling coming from a complete stranger of whom I had already given money to and was going to be bringing my family around. The pet policy is very confusing because under the rates and amenities sections it says that 2 small dogs are allowed but later she told me that was only in RV's. Why that information is listed under the description of the house we were renting I have no idea. She also greeted us upon arrival saying, "who are you?" And then remembered that was the date of our scheduled arrival and said "well good thing the place is clean". So if your looking for a big place with a pool that is clean and out of town it's a great spot. If you are looking for upfront, clear and respectul communication, I would look elswhere.

Awesome

Great location and really close to lake for easy boat access. Enjoyed being able to all eat together and relax together because of wide open layout of living/dining area. Owners were great and very helpful when needed. Would definitely recommend this property.

Quiet Lakeside Family Retreat

Our 20-member family stayed in the Inn and also the Lodge across the street. Owners lived right next door and were available anytime we needed. Loved having access to the canoe, kayaks and guided rides on the pontoon boat. Lake Hudson was not crowded at all. We felt safe in the water and confident with our older kids running around. 2 pools made for great swimming for all, especially the younger ones.

50th Birthday

with the crazy things going on in the world, I wanted a place my family could get together and have fun and relax and celebrate my 50th birthday. The house is amazing. We had room for everyone and the kids loved the rooms upstairs. The pool and the view of the lake off the deck is amazing. The grounds are beautifully kept and amazingly very few mosquitoes. The mayflies and dragonflies I am imagining help with that. The owners were very nice and even let the children feed the koi. We will definitely make this a yearly trip. Thank you for the wonderful memories

The pool and owners were great

The pool was sparkling clean and much bigger than it looked online. The owners were there to show us around and live right next door so they were always available if anything would have been needed. They helped the little kids feed the koi in the pond out front every morning. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything was beautiful... The owners were very kind and generous... The only things the Hot Tub was not up and working.... Which I told my Aunt it was...then the jaccuiz wasn't working either... Really disappointed 😔...... Beautiful lake..... beautiful house ...and we would go again

We purchased the property adjoining ours with dreams of opening an INN and building an RV park. It has taken a lot of work and determination to make our dream a reality. I wanted a place where families could come, relax, enjoy the lake and just reconnect with each other. I love to entertain, decorate, garden, go junkin' and act as 'camp counselor' during the holiday weekends. You will find antiques and horseshoes used to decorate throughout the resort. I love rusty tin and it is used on ceilings, walls or back splashes in the Bunk House as well as our other cabins.

My next dream is to start hosting country weddings with lots of burlap, red bandannas, hay bales and big wagon wheels as decorations. I already have a beautiful, shady spot picked out on the lake shore for the ceremony and the reception area will be in the bunk house.

Why they chose this property

My original dream property was not large enough to fulfill all my wishes. So, when our neighbors put their property on the market, we scooped it up. So, I'm still living my dream, just on a bigger property.
The INN has a great setup. I can rent just the downstairs area if I choose, as there is a separate entrance that can access the second floor. Downstairs walls are 8" thick block/rock, so you are never disturbed by noise from upstairs or outside.

What makes this property unique

I love the INN because of the great layout, fabulous lake views and there is plenty of space for everyone. The back wall, facing the lake, is a wall of windows. So no matter where you are, you will have a fabulous view of the water and wildlife. We love to watch the deer come across the lower yard in the evening to drink from the lake. We've seen red fox, beaver, raccoon, armadillos, possums, squirrels, and birds of all kinds and colors. My favorites are the Orioles and Cardinals. We have even seen wild hogs and deer swimming across the lake. (I didn't know they could swim either!) I also love the wrap around porch.

There are swings, benches, and out of the way seating areas placed across the property that will just call your name and invite you to take a seat and enjoy the surroundings.

Most comment on how quiet and peaceful it is, and I agree, unless there is a game of volleyball or softball going on!
