2016 Renovation; GREAT VIEWS and RELAXING!!! Pelican unit 503 has 2 bedrooms, two baths, and a private bunk-bedroom. It is furnished with a sofa sleeper, love seat and extra chair in the living area. This condo accommodates up to eight people to sleep.

FREE Wi-Fi and full-size stacked washer and dryer are included.

The master bedroom includes a large king-size bed, matching furniture and a TV/DVD system. From the master, you can enjoy great views of the bay, hot tubs, new Marina and pools through the huge picture window. It also has a dual sliding glass door that openings onto the balcony. What a way to enjoy your morning coffee. The Master Bedroom adjoins a large master bath with separate shower and garden tub for the ultimate in luxury.

The second bedroom includes a queen-size bed and matching bedroom set with its own TV/DVD player. The private bunk-room is a great kid’s get-away. The bunkroom includes twin bunked beds and its own TV.

The large great living area includes its own 43” Flat Screen TV/DVD player. It is furnished with custom designer drapes, and a custom sofa sleeper with 2 additional chairs. It adjoins the completely stocked kitchen with refrigerator & ice maker, ultra-quite dish washer, full stove/oven, toaster, blender, can opener, etc. The kitchen includes a large breakfast bar with 3 bar stools. Next to the kitchen you will find a full-sized dining table for up to 6 guests along with the 3 bar stools.

The dual sliding doors from the living room area will take you out onto the large private balcony for great views and the ultimate of enjoyment and relaxation. Don't forget the new Bay Marina where you can fish or just walk on. It goes out about 400 ft. into the Bay.

Destin West Bayside units feature Gulf of Mexico and sand views (see picture of the Gulf and crosswalk to the Gulf) from the front of the unit's walkway and wonderful bay views from the living room balcony. This 5th floor balcony overlooks a spectacular 700 FOOT LAZY RIVER POOL with circulating current, a heated water fall pool, two hot tubs and a just-completed private marina where you can visit or fish from the deck that stretches out into the massive and beautiful Chatawachee Bay. For your comfort and enjoyment, the balcony is furnished with very nice patio furniture. Access to the Gulf of Mexico’s clear waters and white beaches, and Destin West Gulfside amenities are included as part of your Resort stay!!!

Overall we had a great stay! Condo was clean and had almost everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend replacing the cookware. It would also be nice to leave a starter pack of dish soap. Loved the pools and lazy river! Walk to the beach is far, but doable and nice once there.

Fun in Florida

Destin West Beach and Bay Resort is beautiful and the location cannot be any better. The condo was perfect and overlooked the amazing lazy river and bay. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to another.

Beautiful location

We were very pleased with the accommodations We were in a perfect location for beach, pool, fishing, and the lazy river. The staff that welcomed us and checked us in were very helpful and pleasant. The wording regarding sleeping accommodations, however, was somewhat confusing to us. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to returning soon.

Our first booking with VRBO and my first time to Destin. We had a lovely time at the lazy river and the beach was perfect! We are already planning to come back maybe in the fall! Condo made our stay so relaxing.

Best Unit Ever!

My stay from start to finish was wonderful. This unit is the center complex of the resort, overseeing the beautiful bay and breathtaking lazy river and pool. This unit accommodated my families needs in it's entirety. It was clean and stocked with basic necessities. We enjoyed our stay so much that I plan on booking this exact unit again this year.

My family and I stayed at Destin Beach & Bay Resort in Pelican 503 for a National Softball tournament and had the best time. The resort was very accommodating and there was so much to do, whether you wanted to go out or stay. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well as plenty for the kids. We spent a majority of our time with our friends and family down at the lazy river and grilling by the pool, the kids LOVED the lazy river!

Great place!

Check in was super easy! If you arrive before checkin time you can still get in to use the pools and everything until your room is accessible. The room and view are just as they are advertised. Everything was very clean! Ray always answered questions quickly and when we wanted to stay an extra night, He called the front desk to arrange it for us! It was also fun to be able to walk out in the bay, we found several hermit crabs! We’re already talking about booking again for next year!

Wonderful Vacation

Kids loved the lazy river. The men enjoyed fishing off the dock and the pier was close by. I have arteritis so the beach was a little walk for me but I went at my own pace. I discovered that I could have driven to parking on the gulf side. So much to do around us. The rooms were clean and liked the tile floors. The pictures were accurate for the property. Great communication with verbo, host, and everyone. We will be coming back, hopefully with more of our family. Thanks for a wonderful Vacation.

PERFECT FOR EVERYONE!!

We were travelling for a karate competition with 3 adults and 4 teenagers. The condo offered plenty of room for everyone. It was beautifully decorated and very well maintained. The on-site amenities kept everyone occupied and happy during down time from competing. The location was perfect as well! It is within walking distance of the convention center, Wild Willys (arcades, go karts, putt putt, lazer tag, etc!!), and the Boardwalk which offers many restaurants to choose from in a super casual and "chill" atmosphere. Anything else you could possibly need while on vacation can all be found in a 5 to 10 min. drive! I would HIGHLY recommend #503 to ANYONE staying in this area!

We stayed in Pelican 503. It was 7 of us and don't let the size fool you, yes it is compact but we were so comfortable and didn't feel cramp at all. The bunk room was surprisingly big and that allowed for plenty of space for the kids. The bathrooms were huge and the kitchen had everything we needed. When we arrived check in was a breeze and everyone was friendly. This resort has a little of something for everyone and everything is in walking distance. Driving is optional. You will not regret getting this condo. And the views are amazing! And we are so happy we picked the gulf side because it was much quieter than the bay side with the beach. So relaxing. I wouldn't change a thing!! Great great great!

We had a wonderful time. The condo needs some maintenance and more cleaning supplies.

When we got there we found the most of the dishes, flatware, and pots were put away dirty. We could not clean them because there was no dish soap, spurge, or dishcloth provided and only 2 packets of dishwasher soap provided. I suspect the people who stayed before us did not get any and didn't feel bad about leaving everything dirty. The glasses were too big for the dishwasher. The drawers in the dishwasher were rusted and had to move. The ice maker in the frig leaks when it makes ice and we got a big block of ice rather than cubs. The master bedroom has a moldy smell in it, and the toilet in the master bath makes strange noises all night. The pools and beaches were wonderful and we found plenty to do on the property.

Nice property, lazy river was too cold

We enjoyed the stay at the condo, and it was really nice. It would have been nice to have at least 1 or 2 complimentary coffees for the first morning instead of trying to find something right away after arrival. We were really looking forward to the lazy river, but it was really cold and we didn't/couldn't enjoy it. Overall, the condo was nice, quite and check-in/checkout was good.

Great stay!

This is a great location. Beautiful views of the lazy river and also bay. Aquarium is nearby for kids on rainy day. Restaurants and grocery stores are also close. Unit is fully tiled. That’s very nice. Very clean and plenty of space. Kids loved the pools and lazy river the most. We were hardly at the beach, but was beautiful when we went. We will be returning.

Wondeful Time of Relaxation

We really enjoyed our stay at the Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. The unit was comfy and wonderfully decorated. We absolutely loved the lazy river and the resort. This was one of our favorite beach trips we have taken with our children, would love to book this unit again!

Fun for the family

Fall Break Getaway 21

We really enjoyed our stay at Destin West. It was a great Fall Break and vacation for the family. We really enjoyed the bayside and the Pelican. The only real issue we had was the master bed was very uncomfortable and outdated. However we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back.

Very outdated.

The master bedroom mattress is atrocious. All the silverware had rust spots on it and was filthy. The dishes in the cabinet were dirty as was the coffee pot. The washer and dryer were so loud that you could not even carry on a conversation with them on. The description says it sleeps 8. There are towels for 4, at best. Put some money in unit and get a new cleaning crew. Have some pride in ownership. Great location, great pools. How much can a mattress and silverware cost?

Lazy River was Awesome

The condo was nice. The walk to the beach was a little further than I thought it would be when I booked the condo, but it’s not an impossible trek. You have to leave the property building to walk to another building, get into an elevator go to the 2nd floor, then walk across the bridge, go down an elevator and walk through a different complex before making to the beach. On the 2nd day my vehicle was broken into in the parking garage. I recognize the property owner has ZERO control over this, however I felt it necessary to share because it did impact my feeling of security while at the condo. The Sheriff’s office admitted there were multiple break ins that morning into vehicles, but unfortunately even though there is a sign hanging at the elevator lobby in the parking deck saying there is video surveillance….there is only 1 camera and it’s pointed at the elevator lobby, not the parking garage. My friends and I enjoyed the lazy river…..definitely the best part. Overall we had a good trip.
