Nice but needs updating
This is a nice property, great area. The unit need updating and at night is very very dark, basically no overhead lights and the living and dining room really have no lamps to speak of, that will light even a small space. I rented through VRBO but this is managed by "Big Bear Cool Cabins " So you need to drive to their offices wait inline then fill out and entirely new rental agreement, so that defeats the propose of using VRBO, you will have your drivers license ID and credit card scanned into "Big Bear Cool Cabins system". With a few lights and some updating the would be more to my liking. But still nice property.

Beautiful location
The location of the property is beautiful I even like the layout very much we came with our kids and grandkids, Looking for places for the children to play outside, also the playroom was important for us, unfortunately this property fell woefully short in these departments. The outside decks were all filthy clearly not cleaned on a long time, animal feces on the grass, trash from the last tenant was visible on the outside grounds, it’s clear that there is no outside maintenance between guests although this property’s selling point is the view and the outside area, it is not maintained very well . Like somebody said in the last review there is lots of carpet and that’s OK, but it is very dirty it’s also clear that the maid service does not clean any corners, the glass doors also not cleaned between guests. Playroom: advertised air hockey Machine was totally broken not usable, pinball machine was not advertised was also broken, Cable TV didn’t work, only DVD player, couch In playroom was to scary for us to sit on ( ghastly filthy) to summize if you rent this property you will have beautiful views but it is not very clean inside or out and please check to make sure that they have fixed the game room if you bring kids.. the price you pay for this property is for the view.. to bad they don’t take better care of the place.

Thank you for your feedback. I am so sorry that home was not to your cleaning standards. We will inform housekeeping! This home is definitely older including the furniture and amenities but it should be cleaned well. I am so sorry about. Hopefully we can do better next time!
We loved the house and location! Fun seventies vibe with gorgeous lake views. Property is on a huge lot with peninsula like 270 degree views. BBQ grill with propane made for easy meals. Pleasure Marina was right across the Bay and we were able to rent a chartered boat with tube and they picked us right at our pier. Super convenient! There was a newer game room fireplace, bath and pull-out couch plus bunk beds, however this was in a separate building and our young kids couldn’t sleep in there alone. This along with an open loft in main house for the 3rd bedroom made for limited sleeping arrangements...less than ideal for our 2 families of 5. The house has A LOT of carpet and is a bit dark at night, but it’s all part of the vintage feel of a cabin. Tons of bathrooms and billiards table made it super convenient and fun for the kids. TV’s weren’t plentiful, but we welcomed that so kids played outside instead. Lots of room for kids and dogs to roam and play. It was like our own private oasis.
