We stayed here with our dog for 3 nights and can’t speak highly enough of this place. Everything was clean and comfortable for both us and our dog. Our host was very communicative and accommodating throughout our stay. We will definitely come back and stay here in the future.
Love the location of this property.
All the attractions of downtown Saratoga
are practically at your doorstep. The
property is charming and spacious.
Looking forward to returning next summer!

Exquisite Victorian with great location
What a beautiful, quintessential Saratoga Springs Victorian! Excellent location within easy walk to downtown and all the great restaurants. Off street parking a plus. The separation between the downstairs master and the upstairs bedrooms gave great privacy to the 2 couples who stayed. Plus the bar area was wonderful when we had our friends come for after dinner drinks. (Our guests were very jealous of our vacation rental!)
Property close to downtown commercial area.
Great living, dining and kitchen areas. Flat on second floor. Bedroom on main floor and second bedroom on third floor. Bathroom in master bedroom and second bath on main floor. Plenty of sleep quarters for four adults.
We had a good time.

Lovely home with an excellent location near the center of Saratoga Springs and the Sarotoga Race Trk
We loved the location of this home!
The ability to walk to the center of town combined with the home's close location to the Saratoga Race Track made this rental exceptional for our needs.
The home was comfortable and accommodating.
Having a beverage on the lovely porch was special
The two unfortunate items: 1) we could not park in the driveway our first day as a large truck was parked there, it did leave the next day and 2) the TV in the upstairs bedroom (SONY) did not work.
We would definitely stay there again and are confident the two aforementioned issues would be addressed.
Thanks for opening up your wonderful home to us.
Best,
KEM

Nice Enough at First But Then The Owner Got Compative
Pros: cute space, cozy living room w/gas fireplace, nicely renovated/well equipped kitchen made for a really pleasant experience while cooking. Great location: very close to restaurants on Broadway (5 minute walk).
Cons: the street is a detour for Route 9 so construction vehicles lumber past all day/night which is not ideal. The granny-style chair-lift blocks much of the stairs leading from the ground to the porch as well as very narrow stairs from the porch to the 1st floor entrance to the apartment. This is a hazard, someone could easily trip over the rails and fall down the stairs. (This house has several steep/narrow sets of stairs. It adds to the charm of the space but is not ideal for families with small children or people who have trouble navigating stairs.) The top floor bedroom/tv room/office is very cute, however the internet was not reliable and we needed it as my husband and I were working remotely. I had to crawl under the master bedroom dresser to locate and reboot the router at least once per day to reset the connection. The master bath looks like a cheap DIY job that is meant to photograph well.
BUT all of that is nothing compared to what happened after we checked out of the home. She first accused me of stealing something from the house, then realized that this item had been "ruined" by a previous guest. She tried to fine me ($230!) for 1) not washing our towels (which is not part of their house rules), 2) of leaving dog hair everywhere (she knew in advance that we were bringing our dog - we did not allow our dog on the furniture to abide by their request), that our dog relieved herself on the carpet which our dog absolutely did not do 3) of leaving stinky garbage and lots of dirty dishes. We did not do these things. We left the kitchen super clean, the dishwasher was run/emptied. There may have been perhaps a coffee cup left in the sink.
The thing is that we checked out on Sunday and her housekeeper only arrived the following Thursday. Who knows who may have been in the house between those days. (There is no key, just a code to enter.)
My husband and I treated her house as we would our own, with respect and care. We went out of our way to be gracious in the face of inconvenience (the master bath sink was clogged & the washing machine was out of commission for half the week, and the fireplace igniter didn't work but no one seemed to know it.). This person has soured me on home rental. Next time we'll just stay in a hotel.

I’m very troubled that you would go to such great lengths to write such a negative review of our home that is without merit. It’s very cruel and untrue. As I said I’m not going to bother asking the damage to be paid for. We’ve had so many great guests over the years that more than make up for this very bad experience that we had with you. We’ve been very fortunate to have wonderful people over the years and once in a while there will be a guest that will not treat your home respectfully and it has cost us a lot of money to fix the problems but it’s over and we will move on. Good luck to you both of you.
Very convenient location. 3 blocks from downtown. Safe area, we could walk to nearly all our destinations including the race track (about a mile and a half). Plenty of room and comfortable beds and furniture. Very clean. I'd stay there next year if we can make the trip.
It was a great experience. Property Mgr was the best. Relaxing for our daughters wedding weekend. Best decision was to rent this beautiful restored home. Then relaxed after wedding on the front porch,
This property was perfect for a weekend in order to visit with family who lived in the area. Lots of stairs so better for older children. My grandchildren are old enough to be independent and they were very comfortable.
nice, clean , great location.
Big TV did not work.

Thanks Rick! We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. The TV is brand new and it does work. As I said another guest probably played with the input. I offered to walk you through it. I did not realize the instructions I gave you we’re not adequate. Wish I’d known. So sorry you didn’t get to enjoy the TV. this is prompting me to leave detailed instructions for future guests if it should happen again.

Terrific spot
Very clean, well-stocked house, with everything you could need for a short or long stay. Walk to downtown in minutes. Good parking. There is ample space to spread out, which we appreciated, as we did some virtual work while there. A great pick over a hotel.
The location of the property is an easy walk to the Main Street and shopping. The house is well kept and very clean. The owners are very easy to work with and very helpful with suggestions for resturants. We had a great stay.
This was a perfect apartment for three seniors on a three day retreat. The track was a short drive and the restaurants and shops about a half mile walk. I would highly recommend.
This property is just perfect for an adult get-away. There were two couples that made up our trip. We had tix for SPAC, which had to be the most perfect Venue ever. After we found this beautiful Victorian home, we quickly discovered it was close to everything we wanted during our trip. The home interior and exterior were newly renovated, clean and so easy to settle into. Beds were comfy and very clean....As were bathrooms. Wrap around porch offered a place for conversation and coffee. I’d say the 4 of us worked great, but perhaps 2 more would work if you didn’t mind sharing baths. Saratoga is our go-to each Summer and homes like this make it easier and much more fun!

About the host

My father owns this home and I manage it for him. I live in CT and I'm a Realtor in both CT and NY. My husband is a musician and we are both from Saratoga. We have a 2 year old son.
Why they chose this property
My father wanted a home we could all enjoy when we visit. We enjoy many holidays here. He didn't want a property with a big yard to care for because he would just like to enjoy all Saratoga has to offer. It's just a 7 minute walk to downtown. He is Florida for the summer.
What makes this property unique
This is a very spacious home, people always comment on how elegant and grand it is. From the high ceilings, to the beautiful wood floors, and the uncluttered furnishings, it's a very comfortable home. Our favorite feature is the porch. We love sitting outside on the porch and people watching and just enjoying the breeze. One of the biggest attractions to this house though, is its close proximity to downtown. It's a seven minute walk, so you're close to downtown, but it's not on top of you. Even when it's not track season there's plenty of things to do, from the farmers market on both Wednesdays and Saturdays and Sundays, to concerts and other events such as the Ballet at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the Dance Museum, Congress Park and the carousel, amazing dining, brand new BTX digital screening movie theatre, boutique shops, golf and Roosevelt Baths at Saratoga Spa Park.
