Runaway Bay 208 - Beach access, pool, and gym

For twenty years, our family has been drawn to the "Old Florida" charm of Anna Maria Island. Just steps away from the beach, Runaway Bay has been our go-to vacation spot year after year. And every year we ask the same question ."Can we get a condo in the front, near the beach?" Fear not, the answer is now, "Yes, always."

We are happy to share our newly remodeled pet-friendly condo with you.
With hand-scraped wood floors, granite countertops and an open floor plan, you and your guests will feel right at home. On those rainy days, relax in front of the 55" television in the living room either on the couch or its queen size sleeper bed. King in the master bedroom. The condo has a stackable washer and dryer. For those warm Florida nights, grab a drink and enjoy the screened in lanai that overlooks the pond. After a long day at the beach, rinse off in our fully tiled bathroom and the walk-in shower before settling into the king size bed for the night. All your technology needs will be met by our high-speed internet, Echo Dot, and free domestic calls.

PLEASE NOTE - Only 2 vehicles can be parked at the unit; this includes golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, etc.

IF RENTING A GOLF CART - GAS ONLY and must be approved

Skip the high rises in favor of a quiet island day. Your choice of beaches awaits, with white sand beaches on the Gulf side and Sarasota Bay on the other. Boats, jet-skis, kayaks and parasailing are all available on the island.

If you're feeling adventurous, rent a scooter for the day to jet around on your own. Take advantage of the free trolley service that stops right in front of Runaway Bay and runs the length of the island to sight see, or stop to take in the sunset at any of the beach side restaurants.

For the days when you want to stay close to home, Runaway Bay provides many amenities include: Largest heated pool on Anna Maria Island, private beach access, tennis court, shuffleboard, bocce ball, pickleball, fitness center, BBQ grills, kayak launch and fishing pier. Basic cable and WIFI internet access are included. 7 days minimum stay with monthly rates available.

Great time Bradenton Beach

The condo was wonderful and a much needed retreat from the daily routine and winter. We were concerned that not being on the beach would be a problem but it turned out to be more convenient than some of the high rise places we have stayed. I would definitely rent this one again.

Winter Escape

Anna Maria Island is a beautiful slower paced alternative to over crowded beach areas. So many beautiful public beaches and parks with access and walking trails. This condo was beautifully furnished, extremely clean and was within easy walking distance to many restaurants. Free trolley and beach walkway were extremely convenient. Bicycle rental is easy and was delivered to your door. Definitely five star for location and comfort.

Really nice

condo was very clean, great location (right across from the beach). lots of beach equipment. update condo just like the pictures and description. very comfortable bed. near lots of restaurants. We spent a month here and were very comfortable. will return. highly recommend.

Amazing place

We were very pleased regarding this condo ! Beach was literally across the street ! Stores near by ! Quiet area and we were by the entrance/street ! Only issue we had, we have assigned parking space but there was someone who wanted to park in our spot a few times ! Actually, it was someone who lives there year around ! Their spouse parked in their spot so they parked in ours ! We had to have security notify them ! Which they did ! Only a minor hiccup ! Place is amazing !!! 🤗

We got a call to ask how it was going. I let them know that umbrella was broke, we could use it for the week but it may be unsafe in future. And that they had a colony of mini ants. Again, no biggie for us, just letting them know. We returned home to a new umbrella and ant traps! Impeccable service! Will rent with them again! Thank you

Runaway Bay Unit 208

Overall we really enjoyed the stay. The condo was very clean and had plenty of beach supplies. It was also in a great location where the beach was right across the street. Unfortunately our stay was cut short by two days due to Hurricane Debby. I reached out to the property owner through the property manger and inquired about reimbursement for the two days since it was out of our control and the area was basically shut down. I was surprised to learn that there was no refund for a least 1/2 the cost. There was a gesture to extend our stay but we couldn't accommodate. It would have gone a long way with taking care of the customer by working something out monitarily.

Hi Dan, Thank you for taking the time to give your review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and found that the unit was clean, well located and well equipped with beach supplies. We understand your plight regarding the bad weather from Tropical Storm Debby but she was not a Hurricane until late night 08/04/2024 (your arrival date) at which time she was approximately 200 miles north of us and made landfall at 6:00 am on 08/05/2024 in Steinhatchee. Had we actually had a Hurricane and a mandatory evacuation been issued, you would have received a refund. Most businesses were open as of Monday 08/05/2024. The island was not shut down but there were some areas on the north end of the island that had issues but none in the area where you stayed. We hope for better weather if you ever come back. Let us know if you want to come back to this unit and maybe we can make it up to you then. All the Best, Wagner Realty

Perfect condo

This condo was perfect for my husband and I’s honeymoon! The listing was exactly as described and everything we wanted it to be. The condo was fully stocked and equipped with everything we needed. It is a very short walk to the beach and the trolley stops right in front of the complex. We were very comfortable and happy the entire time! Thank you!

Great place

Great place right near the beach has everything you need for cooking and beach. Was very clean, but the water pressure for the shower was really poor. Needs a new shower head or cartridge in the shower valve. But everything els was great. Would love to visit again soon!

Nice quite condo close to the beach

Place was really nice close to the beach. It was clean, and had lots of pots and pans if you want to cook. Would recommend for sure! Only negative thing I can think of was the WiFi. It was on the slower side with 50-60 Mbps down and 10-12 Mbps up. If you aren’t technical that’s about 1 Netflix 1080p stream and 1 video call. Agin condo was clean and super close to the beach. Would recommend!

Overall we had an amazing week. Short walk to the beach from condominium. Room was well equipped with anything and everything you should need. Condo was exactly as described and very clean. Already looking to visit again soon!

Perfect place for two.

The condo was decorated nicely and had a good size kitchen and living area. The king size bed was very comfortable and plenty of storage with a large dresser. The bathroom is updated with a step in shower with great water pressure. Super clean. It is a small, tight bathroom with doors opening to bedroom and off kitchen area. The road had more traffic than expected but a pedestrian crosswalk made it very easy to get to the beautiful beach. The pool area was spotless and very enjoyable and friendly people. Had a great time taking the trolley or Monkey bus back and forth, really no need for a car to get around. We actually moved around easier due to the traffic on foot or with the bikes we rented for the week. The only reason for 4 stars on cleanliness was due to the pots and pans having a greasy feeling like they hadn't been properly cleaned and should be checked between renters. We enjoyed meals and would recommend Harry's in Anna Maria and Lazy Lobster in Longboat Key. The Rod and Reel Pier had dolphins jumping and entertaining the crowd!

awesome location

What a well maintained property. Beautifully manicured outside and inside the Condo has a Beach theme throughout! Bed is marvelously comfortable w great pillows. Everything you need is there for the Beach. Chairs, umbrellas, coolers, awning, floating devices etc. Don’t let me forget to say it was the cleanest place We have ever stayed in! The cleaning company does an excellent job caring for this property. Loved our stay.

Amazing, peaceful getaway!

Can't wait to go back! Clean, very comfortable place with screened porch area (which we ate all our meals-the kitchen is very well equipped!). Thirsty towels, great pillows and amazing King size bed. The pool is clean and warm, along with tennis courts that even have lights for night play. The location is perfect-midway between the 2 main bridges (Cortez and Manatee). The beaches are beautiful, with white sand, and shells that washed up. We saw lots of wildlife including birds, dolphins and manta rays-right from shore! Our favorite finds were The Waterfront restaurant, The Donut Experiment, and the Smoqe House. The Waffle Press also looks super cute (although not open yet when we were there)! We rented bikes from the Beach Bum location and had fun exploring the north side of the island-beautiful, residential area with lots of public access to the beaches. We will never look at FL the same again!
