The suite is situated in a classic Haliewa beach house, has its own private entrance, and complete access to shared yard. The shower is outside with private half bath in the suite. Refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster and coffee maker are provided.

Quiet yet close to everything

Small one bedroom unit with amazing host. Penny set me up with everything needed from beach chair to bike. Outdoor shower was fun, 1 block from beach and bus line or 1 mile walk into town. Very safe Nbr-hood and bonus was adorable cat named Blue who visited every morning.

Never again

The day before I arrived I was told by email that the outside sliding door did not lock from outside and was going to be fixed at some point. But there was a lock on bedroom door so I should keep my valuables there. During my stay my private to was violated a number of times as I noted my Mickey of Sailor Kerry rum was being drank at around an inch level every night and some groceries (not much) went missing as well. The owner reimbursed my 25.00 for the rum but nothing for having an unsafe location and my space violated. I will never come back to this location nor to a place run by the owner. The bedroom was very small and door couldn’t open fully as it met the double bed in coming into the room. The person (Justine) taking care of the cleaning etc was very nice and accommodating but had no control over the repair that should have been done before I arrived. I’m tempted to not use VRBO again because of this situation. The least I should have been offered was a larger portion of my rental being returned. Not impressed to say the least.

Awesome Cool Getaway Spot

I like adventure & there were no reviews when I booked, but the words "Surfer Pad" made it sound like a fun place. The pics didn't do it justice. My teenage granddaughter & I (60-ish) were so pleasantly surprised when vwe went inside. Inviting, roomy, clean, breezy, comfortable, relaxing & fun. What more could you ask for? Everything you need is right here. I felt very safe leaving the patio doors wide open day & night. Don't need the air conditioner when there's a great breeze coming in. So relaxing. Owner was responsive in a timely manner. Felt like I was staying at a friends house. Planning to stay here next year, but longer. BEST PLACE EVER! (1st time using VRBO)

Close to beach and calm

We had a very good time at Kevins place. The room is very nicely furnished and comfortable. The accomodation is close to the beach in a calm neighborhood. Bus stations are in five min walking distance. The walk to the haleiwa town center is approx. 20 min. The bedroom was airconditioned, unfortunately the living room not. There were other quests in the front, but there were very friendly. There also were some cats and dogs in the garden, but no problem with that. The communication with Kevin was very good and you get a lot of relaxing time for your money there.

Description 100% accurate

The listing is exactly what it says it will be. Great location, clean, friendly neighbors. The shower is an outdoor shower with a shower curtain - I used some clothes pins from the line to secure the shower curtain closed and had no issues at all. For the price, this place absolutely can’t be beat. Recommend!

Such a great spot!

A little off the beaten path, but across the road and a short walk from one of my favorite beaches! Very quiet and clean. It was also so nice to have an air conditioned bedroom! We would definitely stay again!

Haleiwa

The inside of the rooms were as depicted, no surprises there. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was clean for the most part. Upon arrival, there was a larger sized lizard on the wall. We also were not anticipating how close the neighbors would be, which made showering outside a little tricky. The shower curtain was also a white sheet that blew in the breeze. Needless to say, we showered in our swimsuits. You also could not lock the sliding glass door to the outside when you left, hopefully this will be fixed. The cats also sit at your door and you almost step on them every time you come outside. We ended up cutting our stay here short and staying in a different location.
