We had a great time in Jamestown, the house is super convenient and clean, the kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of great restaurants and cafés that are walking distance. It's an easy drive to Newport. We would definitely come back!
We have rented a couple of dozen vacation homes on Jamestown and this ranks up there as one of our favorites. The location is perfect - a quick, easy walk to the harbor. The house was cozy with everything we needed in the kitchen. We wished it was a bit warmer so we could enjoy the incredibly spacious backyard. Next time!
The house was great and perfect for 6 of us - 3 couples - who were in Jamestown for a family visit and project. Check in instructions were easy and everything worked. The house is nicely appointed and was very clean. No issues that I can think of.

Convenient to James town and Newport. Lovely stay!
House was perfect for our stay. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, meticulously clean. Host was more than accommodating. Cannot say enough good things about this rental.
House is beautiful large backyard, bbq grill with a fire pit and plenty of seating. House was spacious and bedrooms beautiful. Kitchen had everything you could imagine for cooking. Close to so many things and just a short drive to Newport and the wharf. You can’t go wrong renting. The host was amazing and even was accommodating when we had to come in a day early.

Beautiful and Quiet
The house was extremely nice after having been remodeled. It was spacious and had all the features we needed. The island was quiet so it was easy to rest well at the end of the day. We had business in East Greenwhich and felt this location was convenient to travel to. We also loved you could run from one end of the island to another in about 5 minutes. Overall great place to stay, very clean, quick communication from the owners and was much nicer than other options in the same price range.

Beautiful Home - Excellent Location for a weekend away
This was a perfect location for labor day weekend. Located on Jamestown Island right between Newport and Narraganset. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and the harbor were all within walking distance. Newport was a short drive across the bridge for even more shops, food, beaches and many sights, including The Breakers, Cliff Walk and other romantic and historic sites. Additionally, we enjoyed Narragansett which was just another short drive. The beaches off Narragansett were easy to get to and a lot of fun. I would recommend this to adults looking for a relaxing weekend away and families looking for family fun. It would be a miss not to comment on the house, it was in pristine condition. The owners clearly have put some time and energy into the house and have a wonderful yard for a day at home.

Great spot, terrible check-in
The check-in process was the worst. All of the check-in instructions were out of date, so my friend (the first to check into the home) was stranded alone in the dark after a long day of transit, unable to get in because the instructions were wrong. She understandably panicked because the area had no backup hotels. The host took ages to respond with the new check-in instructions. The host said she sent me the new instructions, but I never received it; either way, because the official check in instructions were wrong, it left my friend panicked and scared in the dark.
When the rest of the group got in, we discovered all the wifi info was out of date as well.
Otherwise, the home itself is great— 6 of my friends and I were in town for a wedding and there were plenty of rooms and space to go around.
Overall, we got the impression that while the property was nice, this host was not particularly thoughtful of the guest experience. Maybe the host will have learned from this, but our stay was definitely bumpier than we would have liked.
Everything was excellent. The master bedroom tended to be much colder than all other bedrooms. The heating system a bit difficult to regulate. Loved the the house and amenities.
Had a very nice stay at this home for a long weekend centered around parents weekend at URI. Close enough to the campus and even closer to Newport attactions and activities.
When someone is running the Newport Half Marathon, you obviously make it a girls weekend! We had a great stay, just over the bridge in Jamestown. The house was as described and perfect for the 7 of us in our group. We really enjoyed hanging by the fire and it was great to save some money and not have to eat out for every meal. The kitchen was fully stocked, plus some extras! The home was welcoming and very clean. We would come back again for sure :)
Clean, well-appointed home well stocked with everything you need to start enjoying your vacation immediately. Location within walking distance of downtown couldn’t have been more convenient. Home was clean and comfortable and had ample room for all 7 of us. Would be happy to return for another stay.
Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the super comfy beds. The house was the perfect size, and we had all of the space that we needed, inside and out. The host, Justine, was very easy to communicate with, and she went out of her way to provide all of the extras, like boogie boards, cooler, beach chairs etc, which made our vacation that much easier and more fun. From the house there is very easy access to Newport, and we also enjoyed the Narraganset beaches. If interested in renting a boat for a few hours, Wickford Boat rentals is only a 15 minute drive away. We had a great time, and would not hesitate to return when we are back in Rhode Island.
Our rental house was amazing. It was beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay and beach trips. Our family had the best time in this lovely home and loved the low key vibe of Jamestown. Will be back!!
We had a group of 8 for Memorial Day Weekend and had a wonderful time. The house has all the amenities you’d need. Would recommend for a family or group looking to enjoy a quiet stay just outside of Newport.
We couldn't have asked for a better place for our family, very clean, well equipped, and located in walking distance to everything we needed! Super comfortable beds and a lovely deck and backyard.

New England get-a-way Gem
Our 2nd time renting this cute New England “gem”. We loved the cleanliness and full furnishings this property provided. It was a great place to meet up with family for our get together weekends. Easy walk to the little town grocery store with a deli, the Ipizza place or liquor store. Nestled in Jamestown, RI this property offered a large deck for hosting a family bar-b-que with ample green space for our outdoor gathering.. We look forward to visiting again.

Clean and Quiet
This is the perfect house for a vacation to Newport and Jamestown. Very clean and updated with the latest creature comforts. If you're looking for someplace that is quiet this is your place. Walking distance to ferry and downtown. If I had any complaints it was the cable didn't have ESPN. Besides that I would highly recommend it and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

About the host
Hosted by Justine Maciel
We are native Rhode Islanders and have always loved all that New England offers. We made a career move to Florida in 1997 but have many personal connections to Rhode Island. We purchased 144 Narragansett in Spring 2015 and spent several months updating the house. We have enjoyed many family gatherings here and hope you will too.
Mark & Justine
Why they chose this property
We chose Jamestown because of it's relaxing vibe, small town feel and proximity to Newport. I love the rural setting with it's organic, home grown offerings and the village area complete with a hardware store, pharmacy and restaurants. You won't find any box stores here! Just across the bay via bridge or ferry, you can pop over to Newport for a more energetic night out or to participate in one of the many festivals. Summer is a peak time, but events are happening all year.
What makes this property unique
Quaint! Everything says "small town." When considering our family, we like knowing our children are safe and able to enjoy a slower pace.
