Inspiring 6th floor condo. New building opened in summer 2017
Relax to the cooing of the waves and wake up with the caress of the sunrise as you embrace the health benefits and good mood.
Ocean view and everglades view from every corner of the property, master room and second room also with ocean view.
No mosquitos on the 6th floor... such a relief!
230m2 condo.
Shaded garage for two cars.

Safety focused, gated property and concierge in site. Suberb location only 10 blocks west from Chicxu Mainsquare and 7 minute drive east to Progreso downtown there you will find the tourist corridor, beach club, sea food, market, water activities, museum, handcraft, artisan ice cream and many thing to do.
Cleanning service mandatory once x week, consider $20.00 USD. My cleanning lady lives 3 minutes from the house and she is well trained to perform the job. Please pay her before leaving.

The humid and salty atmosphere is quite aggressive in electric devices and jewellery. Sea breeze usually starts at 1pm and grows until 5pm, keep windows closed at night to protect all the appliances such as tv, fans, lamps, modem etc.
Breeze is humid and could harm the curtains and put mold in upholstery and clothes.

Amazing ocean view pool, and four sun lounges to take the sun; two big "palapas" where you can have a very nice barbecue, enjoy the sunset and have a party with family and friends.
As well there are two outside showers and modern nice bathrooms.
The building also has a big elevator for everybody.

Concierge is in charge for preventive and corrective maintenance. Please inform first to the concierge. Always online and available.

Electricity is crazy expensive. Please be responsible.
Stove, oven and showers are heated by electricity not propane gas.
When renting one month or more the electric bill is not included. We take picture of the meter at check in and check out to estimate de electric consumption and deduct it from your security deposit.
Also could be payed in cash to the concierge.

We are the only luxury condo complex with administration and budget to keep Almara always 100% and to respond efficiently any unforseen.

Just What We Needed…

The condo is lovely and just as it’s pictured; very comfortable with an amazing view. Beautiful beach and pool area; the stay is just what we needed to decompress and relax. It’s close to Progresso and a short drive to Centro. Geraldina is a gem and wealth of information, helpful and personable. For a relaxing beach experience, this is the place you want to be.

Wonderful condo. We were met by Santiago, who provided us with ice and water before we even arrived. He helped us with our luggage and made sure we were settled. The host Geraldina check in with us multiple times to make sure we were OK. She also recommended a pizza restaurant just down the street that was phenomenal. The condo sits right on the beach. The pool is an infinity pool that looks out over the Gulf of Mexico. We had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend staying here.

Great beachfront condo with excellent host.

Ocean front condo

We enjoyed our time at the apartment. Geradina was an amazing and attentive host. Santiago was great and took great care of the property. The pool was cool and refreshing. Uber is available and some of the sidewalks can be difficult to use. Also many free roaming neighbourhood dogs off the property . The beach was nice with many seashells and wonderful sunsets.

MAGICAL!!!

This is the first VRBO that I've ever stayed at (and I've stayed at LOTS) that I'm at a loss for words for a review. The only word that best sums it up is MAGICAL. We arrived LATE (9pm) to Chicxulub, but Santiago and Geraldina met us, helped us with our luggage and showed up around. Geraldina checked in with us every few days to make sure everything was A-OK! I actually feel we made close friends with them both on this trip!The condo: A spotless! It was impeccable and not just the unit but the entire grounds, pool, etc. The condo is ON the beach - literally! It's not across the street, or a block away, but ON THE BEACH. The ocean is swimmable every day and you can walk for miles on the white sand beach and MAYBE see 1-2 other people! Seriously! Around 5pm every night, the birds (pelicans, frigate birds, and laughing gulls) migrate from Progreso past the condo. Because you're in the penthouse, they fly at EYE LEVEL - I've never witnessed anything like this in all my life!We absolutely loved the town and people of Chicxulub - so incredibly friendly and welcoming! You're a 15min walk to an Oxo, liquor store, public market, shops, etc. We walked everywhere and LOVED it. Uber is VERY good here - we Ubered into Progreso and Merida every day to explore! This is AUTHENTIC Mexico with beautiful, friendly people everywhere! This is not like staying in the "compounds" in Cancun. I honestly can't say enough GREAT things about this! We'll DEFINATELY be back!

We enjoyed our stay. The internet did not work, but overall the stay was nice. The pool was nice and cool in the hot temperatures. Very few mosquitos when we were sitting our on the balcony. Nice quiet stay.

I am glad they enjoyed their stay, the travellers always have a very nice experience!! It is a very luxury condo with an amazing ocean view.. The internet always works, it is a shame that Monica never sent a message to me to report it and eigther said anything to the mantinience guy that works on full time in the Almara condominius. After her review the problem was solved right away.
