About this property

Comfortable, spacious family beach house

Much loved family beach house. Kent fire.
5 minute walk to a picturesque swimming and surf beach with cafe/restaurant, tennis and petanque courts, and kids play area. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Good views from upstairs deck. 2 queen beds, 4 singles, 1 bunk. Loft above garage with additional beds. BBQ available.

Onemana is a great surf beach and, when calm, a perfect family swimming spot. Patrolled during the summer. Across the beach road is a little dairy for ice-creams, and a cafe/restaurant for coffees or dining. Behind the cafe is a beautiful pond with ducks to feed. The beach itself is uncrowded , even at the height of summer. Surf casting is popular.
From Onemana there are a number of scenic bush walks leading to secluded swimming beaches and great picnic spots. If you like to mountain bike, there are fantastic trails close to Onemana.
Whangamata surf township is 10 minute drive away with many restaurants and cafes to choose from. At low tide you can collect pipis and cockles. There is also boat launching facilities there and a wharf for fishing from.
For a Coromandel day trip, it's only a 45 minute drive to Hot Water Beach (dig your own hot water pool in the sand) and then on to Hahei - take the one hour coastal walk to descend into Cathedral Cove - famous for stunning views and a lovely beach.
For golfers there are two courses in the area (clubs can be hired). Fishing charters are easily arranged. Ask at the Information Centre in Whangamata.

Please bring your own linen and beach towels. (If necessary, these can be provided).
Check in and check out times are flexible but in high season check in is 2pm and checkout is 11am.
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach traditions you are expected to clean the house before you leave.

Our stay was special as it was special to be with family and friends! What made it even more special was the property and location. Had the best time in Onemana with family. What a place! The Beach was amazing for our kids who love the water and our accommodation was perfect for us. Enjoyed our time, and wish it was a bit longer. Onemana stay

We really enjoyed our week at onemana. The house is within easy walking distance of the beach. The house was very comfortable with all amenities we needed. It has a really nice atmosphere like it has been well-loved by and used by an extended family. There are good views from the upper storey. Would really recommend it as a very pleasant place to stay. The owner sent very comprehensive information and made the reservation process easy.

Onemana paradise

Nice cosy little bach with ample beds for the family. Close to the beach and play grounds and nice easy drive to Whangamatā. There is another sleeping area/loft in the garage suitable for summer. Thanks Julie.

Amazing Sunrise by the Beach

Loved our stay in the Onemana home. Beautiful sunrise by the beach each morning, which was only a two minute walk from the house. Kitchen appliances might be due for an update (microwave, pots/pans & knives). But overall, loved our stay and would return.
