The Hideaway - 59 Canal St - Seagrove Beach, FL

Overview: Seagrove Beach was founded in 1948 and our goal with The Hideaway is to keep the vintage charm of the area but add a few modern updates like Wi-Fi, cable television, a pool table and a private, heated pool. Our Guests will enjoy the nostalgic feel of Old Seagrove’s Oak canopied dirt roads where you can leave your car in the driveway and bike or walk to the Seagrove Village Market, Surfing Deer restaurant and all of the shops, restaurants and entertainment in Seaside. This fully renovated cottage has three bedrooms, two baths in the main house as well as a separate bunk house with bunk bedroom, bath, screened porch, wet bar and game room with pool table and poker table. The home sleeps 12 in amazingly comfortable beds. We took the original 1938 cottage and completely renovated it from the top down: vaulted ceiling, all new lighting, kitchen, bathrooms and furniture as well as refinished original heart pine floors and fresh paint. We even found some shiplap behind the walls as featured in two of the bedrooms. This home is pet friendly for dogs!

Main House: Wraparound front porch greets you and has 2 Adirondacks for relaxation. Once inside you see the open concept Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen. The living area offers vaulted ceiling, comfortable furnishings including Pottery Barn sectional sofa, multiple side chairs, multiple side tables and lamps, coffee table, huge LED SmarTV, Blu-Ray player as well as a library of movies. Sonos wireless music system and wireless internet. The dining area has a large family table with ten chairs. The renovated kitchen has quartz counters, beautiful new cabinetry, new stainless appliances (LG side by side fridge with door water/ice dispenser, GE gas range, Bosch dishwasher, microwave) and a pantry for grocery storage. There is a shared bath off the living area which has a tiled shower and a double vanity. A door opens off the living area to the pool area and the bunk house.

Main House Bedrooms:
• First king bedroom is accessed off the dining area and has a couple of steps down. It is outfitted with a king bed, tall dresser, 2 bedside tables with lamps, LED TV and a separate side entry door.
• The middle king bedroom has 2 bedside tables with lamps, dresser and an LED TV.
• The final king bedroom is the smallest, but it does have its own private bathroom. Outfitted with a king bed, 2 bedside tables with lamps, dresser, LED TV and pocket closet as well as an exterior door leading directly to the covered porch which overlooks the pool area. The private bathroom has a tiled shower and a vanity sink.

Bunk House: This building is separate from the main house, but is attached by a covered walkway.
• It has a bunk bedroom with a queen platform bed as well as a queen over queen bunk bed. Each bed has built-in plugs for electronics and a reading lamp on both sides. There are also two dressers, LCD TV and luggage racks.
• The hall bathroom has a marble topped vanity sink and tub/shower.
• Laundry room has super capacity stacked washer and dryer.
• The game room completes the bunk house and has a 7-foot pool table, foosball table, poker table with 4 spinning chairs, 4 barstools, side tables, huge LED SmarTV, Sonos sound bar and a wet bar with full sized fridge with icemaker, microwave and sink.
• French doors open off the game room as well as the bunk bedroom onto the screened porch. The screened porch has a comfortable sectional seating arrangement and overlooks the pool.

Outside: Private heated 15x20 pool is fenced in at back of the house. (There is a $40/day fee to heat the pool.) Paved in travertine, this oasis is outfitted with ample Adirondack chairs, outdoor dining table and six loungers. Covered porch off the back of the main house has gas grill with hard-line gas supply so you never run out, six barstools and built in bar overlooking the pool. Outdoor gas firepit by the pool and string lighting make this a great place to hang out at night as well. Hot / cold outdoor shower with privacy enclosure. Parking in driveway for 4 or more cars.

Beach Access: The beach is 3 blocks away or 440 walking steps down a dedicated pedestrian / bike path. The beach is public and there is plenty of room at this uncrowded beach access.

Included Amenities: 12 beach towels, 4 back pack style beach chairs, cooler and an assortment of beach toys.

Beach Gear Program: We provide $40 / day of beach gear credit that you can use towards bikes, umbrellas, kayaks, paddleboards and more! (Minimum stay 3 nights and maximum credit of $280.)

Pets are allowed with payment of additional fee of $250 plus tax.

We have a $100 cancellation fee for any cancellation outside 90 days. Inside 90 days, there is no cancellation unless we can re-rent the property.
