This was our second stay at the Lazy Bear Lodge. We couldn’t wait to return to this little slice of heaven. The house is comfy and has all the comforts of home but the real draw for us is the outside space. We can’t get enough of the view. We also appreciate how quiet it is here. That made spending time on the deck even more relaxing. A perfect spot for your fall getaway.

This place is great. But know that it's on well water, you probably want to bring water.Also the fire table outside didn't work. The house manual had info on where to get propane, but in this type of rental I don't expect to need to refill propane.

As noted in our digital guest guidebook, the property is on a private well, and we do suggest guests bring drinking water if they prefer, albeit the well water is very safe. We got your feedback about the fire table and assessed it at your departure and wanted to clarify that the propane tank for the outdoor fire table was not empty. The tank valve had simply been turned off, as noted in our digital guidebook field staff leave them in the "off" position intentionally to avoid any leaking. We’re sorry this caused some confusion, as we would have been more than happy to help get the fire table going during your stay had you let us know. We absolutely loved our time here. The house sits right on the lake with a gorgeous, peaceful view, it really felt like a getaway. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax in the evenings, and there were tons of games to keep everyone entertained. The home was quiet, tranquil, and fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely return!

Great get away

Although the weather did not cooperate with us, we had a lovely time. Beautiful home with amazing views. Very clean and comfortable. Lots of room for people to spend time together and for the kids to have their own area to play games. Access to a beautiful lake but would recommend wetsuits as it is very cold. Only a 30 minute drive to Leavenworth for food and activities. Would stay here again. Thank you!

I am so glad you said what I have also thought, the photos really do not live up to the beauty of this cabin. I think we need to get back on a sunnier day for more videos and photos, and really be able to show the incredible beauty that the mountains and lake bring to the overall feel of this incredible property. We also have not yet gotten the hot tub pictures up as that is brand new and will offer a whole other level of 'amazing' to this property. Enough room where each person could have their space to get-away. We enjoyed every feature. Kids went in the hot tub, played foozball and we played lots of board games provided by the owner.

Great for a relaxing weekend

Reviewer Comments: This is a great house to just kick back and enjoy the views, either from the living room, kitchen, deck, hot tub, master sitting room, etc. The property is very well maintained, and even came with an app to answer any questions I had about the area, or the property. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking to kick back and relax, or if you're like me, and wanted to kayak out of your back door. Definitely a must for anyone who's visiting around Leavenworth, and wants a beautiful retreat to go back to.

It was wonderfully stocked with anything we could have needed, easy to find, breathtaking views. We had a snowy, wintery visit and the surrounding area was full of things to keep my group of older teens well occupied. We only had 2 issues, the fireplace "fan" made a lot of noise, so we didn't use it, and the house feel very cool during out stay. That didn't bother me, but we did have a baby with us. Second was no where did it tell us what to do with our trash on our last day.

I am sorry to hear that you had issues with the fan making noise..we will get someone to look at that and find out why you felt the house was not warm enough, that is odd and I wish you had let us know sooner so we could jump on that asap for you. We always want our guests to have nothing but comfort and great experiences!!!! The garbage cans have been delivered so that will be an issue no longer. You were the first guests at the cabin, so we will learn quickly what items may need attention, sometimes there can be things an owner may not notice that a guest will, so it can take a few visits to find out what 'quirks' might show views, location and the home itself are so amazing, I think we will have many happy guests in this incredible home. UPDATE: FIREPLACE FAN HAS BEEN REPLACED AND IS COMPLETELY QUIET

Loved it all

The location was fantastic! Place is very well appointed- didn’t need anything. There’s a lot of stairs so in case you have trouble. Hot tub great. Driveway super steep. I would definitely go back was exactly what we needed for canoeing fishing playing games and relaxing!

Great stay!

The pictures were exactly where very accurate. The place was perfect for our family of 5 with room to spare. Plenty of space for everyone and lots of common areas to hang out in. Our dog I think loved it the most she got to swim every day right off the dock. This was the First time she has ever jumped off a dock and she wouldn’t stop after that. Would highly recommend. Wifi service was great as well.

This house is as lovely at it looks!

My family of 6 + 2 pugs enjoyed a wonderful week long stay at this cozy house by the lake. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy their own quiet tasks, playing board games at the large dining table or watching movies on the sofa all together. Large, spacious kitchen for cooking meals, the dogs loved visiting the lakeside (and the view of the lake iced over from the house was a beautiful sight) and we all enjoyed the hot tub. We loved our stay and would love to visit again, perhaps in the summer when we can enjoy swimming in the water!

Incredible views!

We were a family of three coming to the mountains for some relaxation. This home was perfect! The view is simply amazing and the patio has great furniture plus a propane fire pit. There is nothing else to say other than we will be back!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as a family of four + grandma and pup. The house is cozy and well equipped and the view from the hot tub doesn't get much better. If you are fortunate enough to find this place available you should book it!
