WoodHaven has 100mbps fibre optic wifi.
4 bedroom, 3 bath home, the game room in the walk out basement has a pool table . A closet full of board games, puzzles, cards and other games is located on the 2nd floor. The deck off the main living space is like sitting in a tree house, there is a gas grill and table and chairs. The master bedroom has king bed and an en suite bathroom. The other main floor bedroom has a queen bed and en suite bath with shower. Upstairs is a bedroom with queen bed, jack and jill bath. 2nd bedroom has 2 twins beds. There is even an extra shower in basement if the other showers are busy. Washer and dryer are in basement. WoodHaven is close to Brown County State Park, less than a mile to eXplore Brown County with zip lines, Story Inn Restaurants, Nashville shopping and eateries. 30 minutes to Edinburgh outlet mall.
DRIVEWAY:
The house is perched on a hill in the woods. The first thing you will notice as you begin to turn onto the driveway is that it is steep and curves up the hill. If your vehicle has 4WD we recommend you utilize it. If you do not have 4WDwe recommend you shift into low gear(L) if your car has that option. This will provide the smoothest ascent up the drive. Please keep your speed up ALL THE WAY through the curve to provide sufficient momentum to smoothly ascend the drive.. The climb will be worth it. Once you reach the Cottage at the top of the hill there is plenty of space for parking.
ATTENTION BICYCLERS:
We are designate "Mountain Bike Friendly" by the Brown County Tourism Bureau.
We have a walk out basement that makes it easy to bring your bikes inside. We are close to several biking areas (see links listed on this site).

WINTER TRAVELERS PLEASE NOTE:
Our property sits on a hill so it does have a steep driveway. Therefore, there is a risk that it could become impassable if we get snow or ice. We do live next door and will make every effort to keep the drive clear. If you do choose to book at Woodhaven and the weather does interfere we will offer a full refund or allow you to book at another time.

We had a wonderful stay at Wood Haven. The cabin is tucked away in a quiet, secluded setting while still being conveniently close to downtown shops and restaurants. It has a warm, rustic charm that made it feel cozy and inviting, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. We would absolutely stay here again.

Girl's Trip 2025

We had a great time staying at this place for our girl's trip! The location was great, saw deer, turkeys, tons of wildlife and enjoyed having nobody else around while still being only 10-15 minutes to town. Bill and Bonnie were amazing to work with and had everything that you could think of at the cabin for an enjoyable stay. We highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back soon!

The property is really great. We really enjoyed it and the local brown county state park mountain bike trails. The drive way is a bit steep and I recommend awd or 4wd to get up the driveway.

This cabin is super clean, fun antique atmosphere and very clean. Easy contact with the owner. Would be a 5 but had a mildewy smell when we arrived. Had to air out the house before we could fully unpack.Everything you need is ready. Even a stool for reaching higher cabinets! Remote and surrounded by woods, pure beauty. Would come back again.

We moved permanently to Brown County in 2012. We live on property that has been in my husband's family for over 50 years. They spent their summers here and we wanted our children to experience that as well. We thought long and hard before moving here full time, our concern being giving up our get away place, but we have no regrets. I still feel my cares melt away each time I drive towards our cabin.

Why they chose this property

Before we moved to Brown county full time we had a cabin that we let friends use to get away from the business of life. When we moved into that cabin full time our dream was to build something to use for that purpose. When our neighbor told us she was wanting to sell it seemed the perfect fit.

WoodHaven is quite and private yet close to attractions. Whether your idea of relaxing is mountain biking. riding a zipp line, hiking or just setting on the deck this is the place for you.
