About this property

Log cabin , riverfront,Hot Tub, mins to Chimney Rck /Lake Lure , Fishing

This vintage log cabin was built in 1944 and comes with all the classic charm and the peaceful sounds of the Rocky Broad River, just out your back door. This quaint one bedroom cabin sports a luxurious king bed, all the kitchen necessities, hot tub for two, and is close to all the fun mountain activities. Located in Bat Cave NC along the main road leading into Chimney Rock, it is only a few minutes to both Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. You can also get to the town of Hendersonville within 20 min or Black Mountain within 35 min. Asheville is about a 40 min drive. Come stay and relax in this peaceful retreat, fish for some trout just out the back door, wade or kayak in the river. With a short drive to Chimney Rock you can find some great shops and restaurants, and of course great hiking experiences. Lake Lure is a beautiful mountain lake so get on a boat or kayak and explore the lake. Hendersonville is known for their apple orchards in late summer. Asheville has so many tourist attractions including the Biltmore Estate. Come hike, bike, zip line, raft. If it’s outdoor fun , you will find it here. We do have WiFi set up in this home and we have great cell signal. This home has a step up, slight slope in floor in kitchen, and stairs to get to the water, so it is not considered accessible for disabled. The 1940 a chimney is not safe to use so we have electric insert for ambiance and warmth.

Great area
The house is adorable, very clean, had absolutely everything we needed in the way of whole household products. The deck overlooks the river, we spent a good amount of time just sitting on the deck listening to the river roll. My husband did some fly fishing and my little pups enjoyed the great outdoors. After the long relaxing day we hopped in the jacuzzi, which was very clean and maintained. The house is super close to a lot of downtown activities, wineries, restaurants, music, and antique shops. I would highly recommend!

A wonderful home!
We enjoyed our stay so much! The house was just as it is portrayed on the website, was very clean and quaint. Getting down to the river was easy and we enjoyed listening to the water while rocking on the deck. We did a lot of walking while there so we used the hot tub in the evenings. I would highly recommend this little cabin to anyone. And Lee and Amanda are so so easy to work with! Very nice people!

What a great little spot!
We had a great time at this little cabin. Very cozy! Loved the easy access to Hendersonville, chimney rock, etc. The cabin is on the main road and the bedroom faces the road, so since I’m a light sleeper, I did have a little trouble with the car noise early in the morning but I knew that going in because their description of the property is very detailed. It didn’t discourage me from booking or staying again. Bed and couch are comfy! I loved the river access and can’t wait to come back when it’s warm. They had everything we needed for a great long weekend. Thanks for a great stay!
