This 2 bedroom/1 bath lake house is located on Lay Lake in Clanton, AL. Both bedrooms and bathroom are located upstairs. There is a gas grill and charcoal grill but we do not provide the propane or charcoal. Please bring your own if you wish to grill. It’s 20 minutes right off interstate 65. The Apple Maps leads you straight to the house but please note, the last mile is a dirt road. It’s very close to the public boat launch and plenty of space to tie up your boat at the house. If you bring a boat trailer, please note you must be experienced in backing up a trailer! There is not a good turn around spot if you pass the house and we recommend backing the boat trailer down the driveway which can be tight but doable.

Stayed 3 nights. Beds were comfortable. Home has all you need to stay and then some. Access to owner was great. Outside deck was awesome with view. Plan on staying here again.

Thank you Darrell for being a great guest! We enjoyed hosting and looking forward to you coming back.
The property was comfortable. It is the first time we had stayed right on the water. It was so nice to not have to load and unload the boat every day. The owners were fantastic and easy to communicate with.
Great communication with Owner. Things were in need of tidying up. But we worked it out. They were very gracious. Steep hill to park and unload things. The place was quiet and private. No Wifi. Cell Service was in and out. BUT I WAS THERE TO GET AWAY FROM THE WORLD, this place was perfect for that. Short drive to National Cemetery to visit my Dad. I will book again for my next visit. Lay Lake is beautiful. Thank you Summer for your perfect place for me to GET AWAY.
This is the 4th time staying at this home. We just love it. The owners are very nice and will get right back to you if you need anything or have questions. We always stay at this home for any fishing trip we plan on lay lake. The home is well supplied from plates, pots and pans, towels, cups, chairs, propane grill etc..
We love this place. It’s the 3rd time we have stayed here. The owners are very nice. We needed some questions answered and they called us right back. House is fully stocked.
This is our 2nd time to stay here. House has everything you need from pot and pans, coffee pot, barbecue grill, paper towels and forks and spoons. The only thing about the house is the bedrooms and bath room is up stairs and the steps leading to them is very steep. I had to go down stairs backwards so I wouldn’t trip. It was find doing it this way but if you have a hard time climbing stairs you want be able to climb these.
Just what I was looking for....very comfortable....the only thing that was lacking was my bass boat and maybe some Vol nation memorabilia to counter the big A on the boathouse 😁. Definitely will book again!
We had a wonderful time and plan to book again in the spring.
We choose to stay here on the lake due to the fact it was close to our hunting club and to some other attractions we wanted to see. We visited Desoto Caverns, hiked up to Flagg mountain and did part of the Pinoti trail. The owners helped me out of little problem on our first day. Which the kind act is something we will never forget. Thank y'all.

Inside of the property was nice but outside was lacking. Beds were nice, Bathroom door and fire pit need attention.

Hi Jonathan, thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the new mattresses we recently added. We will definitely put a new fire pit on our list next and will take a look at the door. Thank you
We made good use of the dock. It was nice to have our boat parked just outside. Property was clean and the bedding was new and comfortable. Parking a trailer and unloading was a little challenging, but shouldn't be too bad for younger folks.
We had such an awesome time at the lake house! It’s located in a quiet part of the lake and was perfect for exploring on our paddle boards. The house was very thoughtfully laid out and the grill and deck made cooking outside a lot of fun. We can’t wait to come back again!
