Welcome to Millimgimbi, a relaxed, pet-friendly retreat in Metung nestled by Bancroft Bay. With calming water views, open-air decks, and warm natural light, this welcoming house feels like a peaceful coastal hideaway for families or friends.

Inside, there are three spacious bedrooms: a queen master, a double room, and a third with a bunk plus a single, comfortably sleeping up to seven (or eight with a futon). You'll find two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, dishwasher and microwave, plus a gas BBQ. The living area is warmed by a wood-fire and cooled by reverse-cycle air-conditioning and ceiling fans. For fun and downtime, there's WiFi, a TV, a DVD and CD player, along with a paved underhouse play area with a table tennis table. Laundry facilities include a frontloader washing machine, dryer, ironing board and clothesline. Parking allows for cars and a boat trailer.

Fantastic joint. We loved our stay at Mellingimbi. My only complaint was that there were only 2 dishwasher tablets provided and no oven mits. Aside from that, cannot fault this place. Good energy and breathtaking views. Will definitely be back.

This was an excellent location with gorgeous views, we brought pets and were able to have a lovely complete family vacation, with the property being just 5 mins drive from the Metung hub.

Family of young kids and a dog

House was older than appeared in listing but that was ok. was all fine overall. Was clean and nice linen. Beds were uncomfortable for us (but aware that’s each to their own). Amazing water pressure in shower. House was cold, but we eventually found a heater on night two. Did have a wood fire but didn’t give out much heat. Were lots of dangerous items around the garden for the kids Eg: paint pots, screws, glass picture frames. We also got a puncture by parking on a screw in the driveway. Whoops. Also garden isn’t contained and is on a really really steep slope (was raining all weekend so very slippery) so couldn’t just let the dog or kids to run free. But the kids enjoyed the garden as was well developed with bushes and trees providing them adventures.

Restful treetop and lake view

Beautifully maintained house on a hill overlooking the lake, nested in trees. We loved the generous size and old world comfort. Our dogs enjoyed the deck, the front garden, and the many walks around the town. A great spot, with comfortable furniture, wi-fi and smart tv.

True dog friendly owners

Really appreciated the owners' allowing our dogs to stay. Many places say pet friendly, but have a stack of restrictions. Clean and well-appointed. Nice water views.

Metung Views

A perfect place for a quiet getaway. Comfortable home for our family of 4 and dog. The balcony views were great and plenty of bird life. Short drive to main part of Metung, but also walked there. Hired a boat to fish and tour the lakes. A beautiful part of the world.
