Absolutely beautiful. The drive right up at the house is a little steep and was too difficult for me to drive up, but there is a little parking area right down the hill that is easy to park and just walk up. Overall loved my stay. The cabin is adorable.

Loved the location and privacy! Driveway is a bit sketchy on a car. There isn't a washer and dryer anymore. Place was clean and cozy. Everything you need is stocked. Definitely recommend.

This was a great secluded place to just relax and enjoy nature yet 5 minutes from the city. Very beautiful and comfortable. Drive was a bit steep but after all, it is the mountains. We had a great time.

Camera Over Hot Tub

Arriving was very difficult in our Jeep Renegade that did not have 4x4 capabilities. We had difficulty finding the property and had to call the owner, who creeped my fiancé out over the phone. He emphasized that she needs to make sure she uses the hot tub over and over, only to find that there was a camera right above the hot tub. We immediately left. I have contacted VRBO about this as they have a no camera policy in private areas, but have received no further communications. I disputed the charge with my bank, as recommended by the customer service person we spoke to originally from VRBO, and I was just informed by my bank that I will have to pay because there is a contract involved. As we left we called the owner to let them know we were leaving because we felt unsafe due to the driving conditions. We did not mention the camera because we did not want to start an argument or anything over the phone. He verbally told us he will reach out to the rental company and see what he can do about a refund, making it sound like he was willing to refund. I have been on hold waiting to speak with someone from VRBO customer service for over 4 hours over the course of all of this waiting to discuss and resolve this. Very frustrating.

No Privacy!

The pictures of this cabin are very deceiving! They don’t show the “separate” unit the homeowner lives in is directly under the rented cabin. The drive is very steep and nearly requires 4x4. The pictures make the exterior look wonderful, however that’s not how it looks once you arrive! It is grown up, the homeowner has equipment laying all around, the handrails need to be replaced, the hot tub was FULL of bugs, the last thing that was the deal breaker for us was the fact the homeowner has cameras all around the porch going into the rental cabin AND over the hot tub! No privacy! The interior isn’t terrible minus not having access to WIFI and the “smart tv” they are SO PROUD to list on the amenities, half works because of no service. We immediately called the homeowner and told him we would not be staying. We drove 3 hours to be completely dissatisfied. All of our money for our trip (which was our honeymoon/my birthday as well) was tied up in this cabin and we ended up not even staying! If I could give this 0 stars I would!

Great Little Getaway

Cabin was perfect as always!

This will be our 3rd stay in this cabin, and it never dissappoints! It's always clean and tidy. Everything's always stocked. We always have fun just relaxing in front of the fire or in the hottub. We come here for down time from our busy life, and it's always time well spent!! Love this place! Dale is also well appreciative and always glad to help in anyway! Thanks for another great stay!

LOVED our mountain escape!

We LOVED this cabin to say the least, it was very clean and packed with anything you could need to cook during your stay (spices, pots and pans, crock pots, mixers, EVERYTHING!). We loved the decor and felt right at home. The hot tub was perfect after a day of exploring the surrounding areas. The cabin was nice and secluded in the woods, but no more than 10-15 minutes from downtown Bryson City. Also, it wasn’t far from Cherokee, Maggie Valley or If your willing to drive a little further, Gatlinburg Tennessee. I’ve seen other reviews about the keeper being on the property during the stay, and wanted to share for future renters that we had NO problem with this at all. He was very nice and friendly, asked if we needed anything and told us where to find him if we did, he even thought to bring us a heavier blanket since the temperature was dropping! I actually liked this and thought of it as great hospitality, as opposed to a negative. We cannot wait to stay here again! What a hidden gem! Thank you Dale for sharing your cabin with us!

Only problem was there was no real tv service, and tv apps were very slow in downloading and streaming, unwatchable. The shower head was too soft for our taste. Outside of that all was good.

The cabin had a bathing suit left in shower. Yellow jackets in cabin serveral. One in bed. The picture of the cabin is not what you see. Someone looks like they live on the bottom floor. Not very private. Directions to cabin is hard to fine estat night The room was beautiful. Hot tub was nice.

Surprise Getaway

We absolutely loved this place!! I needed a weekend getaway to surprised my fiancé and he was amazed! No problems, easy navigation and everything was fully stocked! Hot tub was a TOTAL bonus on top of that. I highly recommend it! To add to this- if you have a bigger vehicle I would drive a smaller one. The driveway is very narrow! We fortunately drove our car so it worked out perfectly!
