Modern complex on Ballito promenade

As a dedicated host, I strive to ensure every guest enjoys their stay. However, this guest accused me of false advertising due to misconceptions and lack of communication. She hadn't read the apartment details or viewed the pictures, leading to confusion and a confrontational attitude. Her son, however, was more understanding. Despite trying to accommodate, her early check-in requests were challenging due to previous guests' departure and necessary cleaning. She also ignored key collection details, adding to the mix-up. The booking was for 2 guests, but a 3rd elderly gentleman joined without prior notice, struggling with the stairs, which could have been addressed if informed earlier. The guest claimed to have a 'serious medical condition', yet Ballito's hot climate in Dec-Feb isn't ideal for her needs. I suggested a hotel as a better option since she required air conditioning throughout the day. The main bedroom had air conditioning, but other rooms have sufficient ceiling fans. Upon departure, the guest mentioned the elderly gentleman soiled the bed but didn't properly clean the linen, unfairly leaving it for the cleaning staff. We had to dispose of and replace the linen. This experience emphasizes the challenges of miscommunication and unrealistic expectations. Nevertheless, I remain committed to providing high standards that have earned positive reviews and loyal guests.
