Nice place to stay The 2 double beds are just a little small for 2 adults to sleep comfortable in.
Upstairs room very comfortable and a large space for everyone to enjoy.
The house was clean, well equipped and wonderfully warm. The position - right on the edge of the village - made it both peaceful and gave us easy access to the cross country skiing trails.
The view couldn't have been any better, looking over the trail (and several snowmen) to the snowy bushland outside.
Just fantastic.

Stayed here as a family of 5 (teenagers) which didn’t quite work out with bed arrangements despite being described as sleeping 6 but Josie was star and arranged extra sheets/blankets very quickly for our byo bed. Beautiful home beautiful location bus ride to Hotham was easy, except on powder days when the whole dinner plain tried to cram onto the bus. Will stay again.

Nice place and very peaceful
We arrived at a lovely warm house. Place was spacious and cozy. Sadly, we found that there had been mice in our beds and a number of the beds had been soiled with mouse excrement. A family of mice were present in the kitchen area and had left their mark in drawers, cupboards and a couch. Put a dampener on the stay and we were not able to have this issue resolved with clean bedding. Just an offer of some mouse bait to place around the property.
Property description was accurate. Beds and bathrooms downstairs and open living / kitchen upstairs. Good for summer family holiday. Space for portacot in the main bedroom. We brought extra towels (for dip in the Ovens en route) which came in handy to help darken the room for our toddler. Not too far to walk to playground. We met the neighbours, lovely people.
Lovely property, had everything we needed in a great spot. Great comms made check in easy and no issues with the property. Highly recommend for a family holiday
This was my 2nd stay here. It's a nice house, heating system is excellent and the Gas Fireplace is also great. The amount of furniture is minimal but in this case would say less is more. The drying closet is perfect for winter or wet weather activities. My only suggestion would be to add bedsides with lights in the small bedrooms in a way to keep up the minimalistic style. Would love to come back.
We had a beautiful weekend in Dinner Plain. Great location, great house and we really enjoyed our stay. We tried to book the house again during the ski season, but it was fully booked! The only let down (which has nothing to do with the house) was the food options at Dinner Plain, we realise it was off season but the High Plains Pub, The General (Mt Hotham) and the Ramada were the only places open for meals and they were all absolutely dismal. Haven't had such bad food in a very long time. It was such a let down - even the kids complained - after a day hiking or bike riding that we couldn't get a decent, high quality meal! Would recommend taking your own food.
The most beautiful, clean, warm and awesome chalet for a weekend getaway. We took our young family away for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the stunning surroundings and lovely accomodation. Linen was clean and beds were very comfortable, chalet was always warm and the kids loved exploring the different levels and the loft. Great access for bike riding and exploring the numerous walks and tracks. Everything you could need was there and we will certainly be back. Very cosy and peaceful stay.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fell in love with the place the second we walked in. Packed with all facilities, this beautiful chalet was a home away from home. Would definitely want to come back.
