Perfect Lake Experience to Fish, Ski, Shop & Eat

A relaxing, fun, beautiful, lakefront house with beautiful sunrises and sunsets with the comforts of home at Lake Holbrook just a short drive from DFW, Tyler, Longview Shreveport. This four bedroom recently renovated home includes a large living area with views of the lake, fireplace and opens to a two-level large deck.

The deck is equipped with three sitting areas, umbrella, grill & griddle for cooking your favorite burger or steak. Listen to your favorite music on the blue tooth enabled speakers while enjoying the view, sipping a drink and savoring your dinner on the grill. The deck is lit with soft dimmable lighting under the shaded deck and rail lighting under the open deck.

The two-level deck has two stairwells with a short flagstone walk to the boathouse, where you can fish, paddleboat, paddleboard, kayak while enjoying the beauty of the wildlife and nature. On the property, you will enjoy the many trees as well as games such as Jenga and frisbee during the day, or deck games such as Uno, Monopoly, checkers, or chess.

In the evening there is a large firepit perfect for an evening fire and delicious smores as you watch the fireflies bring in the evening fun. You will see the stars like never before as the cool breeze from the lake refreshes you after a day on the lake.

Whether you stay at the house or make your way into downtown Mineola for Antique shopping or dessert/ice cream at Grandma Cleda's Sweet Shop or head over to Canton for First Monday or a day of fishing at the famous Lake Fork. A host of hole in the wall restaurants we can guide you to or you can enjoy a cookout on the grill. A day trip to the Mineola Nature reserve or a dairy farm is only minutes away.

Quiet time after 7:30

Overall the property was great and had everything we would need in the house. Enough room and beds… the house leaned…. And I wished I knew before renting the house that there is a “quiet time” after 7:30! The owners are the neighbors to the house so they were yelling for us to turn the music down that was on the tv saying it was quiet time after 7:30… our family go to the Lake to hang out and have fun with family we weren’t even that loud we forgot our speaker lol we turned the music off….a couple hours later the guys were outside talking and she came over and told them they were being to loud again! I was shocked so if your looking to hang out have fun and listen to music at the lake this is not the place for you but if you looking to go to bed early it was a great place for that

Relaxing stay on Lake Holbrook

This was the perfect place to relax after long days working or if you were looking for lake vacation. There is plenty of room for several people and great areas to relax including a large boat dock on the water, great backyard with fire pit and double level deck attached to the house. I would gladly go back to this location for vacation or work again.

It had a musty smell, probably from the old carpet and had mold in the bathtubs corners. The whole house leaned badly to one side. It was hard to really sleep with your feet higher than your head. The hostess were amazing, just wish the house was a little bit better.

Loved it!

We came to celebrate my husband and his friends birthday and was the perfect spot! The guys went on night hog hunts but us wives enjoyed the huge porch, boat dock, fire pit, fully stocked home with extra goodies. Did not disappoint! JC and Brent are very accommodating and we will definitely be coming back. Several restaurants within 10-15 mins they recommended that were great as well!

Great Place for Eight!

This place was perfect for 8 adult family members especially with a large open kitchen, large fridge and a dining table that could seat 10. All very clean and comfortable. The dock was large enough to hold all of us and the water was clear, clean and perfect temp. Also great for our jet ski. Overall a beautiful setting. My only concern was that no matter how we set it, the AC was cold and very loud. It was the first time in 2 years we were able to all be together and had a wonderful time.

Fun and relaxing

Our family had a great time. The kids enjoyed using the water toys available. We all enjoyed fishing and catching on the dock. Nearly antique shopping in Mineola and Gladwater was my happy place! Will definitely stay again if they'll have us! Owners were easy to communicate with and reach. Very very thoughtful with furnishing the home and items/supplies needed. They thought of EVERYTHING! Also thabk you for giving the kids rides on the tube thing! That's all they talked about!

A Great Place for Family to Get Together.

The house can handle 10 people. We had 5 adults and 2 younger children. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed for the week. Bedding was clean with extra bedding, just in case. The dining room table is huge. There is a sitting room near the fireplace and a large living room. Two Large TV's. There is a good sized covered deck and then a second deck off from that that is just as big but is open air. If you have small children, bring your child gates. We put one at the top of the stair from the second floor bedrooms, blocked off stair way off the lower deck and gated the stairway off the upper deck. There are paddle boards, a kayak and a paddle boat for you to use. The covered boat lift can handle up to a 20 foot boat. We had a great week and would not hesitate to stay again.

Great fun for time with friends

A group of friends and I decided to get away from the city for a few days and decided on this property after a few days of searching, and it was a fantastic choice. The house was perfect with plenty of rooms to sleep all of us comfortably and a fantastic kitchen for us to cook meals together. And the owners were there to assist all of our needs from the water sport rentals, to figuring out the s’mores fire pit, to giving us all the best tips and tricks on where to go on the lake and in Mineola. Overall it was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet weekend getaway with a lake view and fun lake activities.

Holbrook Fishing

Great location and neighborhood - felt very safe to have the family at. Owners are next door and are very accommodating. House had all the essentials and more. Internet was great along with the audio video options. Having access to the boat dock and slip made all the difference for us while staying at this property as we brought our boat and fished the entire time. I am sure the owners will continue to upgrade/renovate the property over the years and really the only negative and its trivial - but if you have a boat or trailer the driveway can be tricky to back into. Overall its a lake house and good option to consider.

Exceptional Hosts

We were booked to enjoy a Mother/Daughter weekend and at the last minute we had a death in the family and our host very graciously agreed to allow us to move our weekend to a weekend they had available and our trip was still able to take place. We very much enjoyed the home. It was clean, had everything that we needed was in the house. There were fresh flowers throughout the home and the hosts could not have been more accomodating. They offered to let us check in early, check out late, take us for a boat ride and just wonderful with answering emails very quickly! Truly wonderful people. If I had to say anything at all that could have been better is that the float in the picture was pretty dirty from being out in the lake, so it had some mossy growth on it, but we ended up using a different floating island that they had available so it was still a great trip and memories were made for a lifetime with my daughter. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home and for being so accommodating and responsive! Excellent choice if you are in the Mineola area and need to sleep a lot of people comfortably.

Great stay!!

We spent the Fourth of July weekend at this property with two other couples. The property was amazing!! The owners we available the entire weekend. They were so considerate and thought ahead. Everything worked well - outdoor stereo, plugs on dock, kitchen, grill, etc. This is the perfect place for a group to enjoy time cooking out and swimming in the lake. You will not be disappointed!!

This was the perfect location for a group of us who were working in Quitman but wanted to enjoy the beauty of East Texas. The house was well stocked with a wonderful deck that hosted some great BBQ's. The propery owners were very nice and accomodating. Beds were comfy too!

A Hidden little Gem!

We had an amazing time! Brent and JC are wonderful host/hostess! The home is nestled among tall pines on the lake with awesome fishing right off your private dock!!! We had 2 families of 4 staying and everyone had something to do we swam, fished and cooked. Fresh flowers greeted us and made the home smell amazing! If I could give this property 10 stars I would! We have stayed at multiple VRBO's, but this one definitely surpassed them ALL!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! We will definitely be back!
