Stoneybroke ~ A wonderful beach for children, Dog Friendly!!

STONEYBROKE is a comfortable three bedroom holiday shack that accommodates up to 7 guests with only a short walk to the beach. This holiday shack is located at Couch Beach near The Pines and Corny Point.

Open plan kitchen with microwave, stove top (no oven), electric fry pan, meals area, lounge with TV, DVD, split system reverse cycle air-conditioner, pedestals available. Gas BBQ, 2 extra freezers.

Bed configuration - bed 1 - queen, bed 2 - queen plus single, bed 3 - 2 singles.

You will need to take all your bedding and linen - pillows, quilts/sleeping bags, top/bottom sheets, towels/bath mat and tea towels.

No smoking inside

DOG FRIENDLY - please note - yard not fenced

Nightly tariffs - cleaning, booking and refundable bond fees apply

Peak - 24th Dec to end of Jan school holidays and Easter: 4 night minimum stay
$100 per night
High - all other school holidays plus long weekends: 3 night minimum stay
$100 per night
Off Peak - school terms: 2 night minimum stay
$100 per night

More than expected

There were a lot more amenities present than was listed, including lots of toilet paper, tissues, little things like that! Anyway, it's a great little place, I highly recommend it :)

Great place to stay while exploring beaches. The house has everything you need. My only suggestion for the cleaners (who did a good job) is to use a mould remover spray on the shower tiles. If the spray was there I would have sprayed it on the tiles before going to bed, then washed it off in the morning. This needs to be done a few times for the grout to come up up clean on mould affected tiles. Other than that it was a great stay. Happy to book again some day.

We were surprised that the information on what to bring was incorrect as items such as toilet paper, tea towels, dish cloths were provided. We would have like to know better information, so we did not have to take items which we then brought home again.

Very basic but great to be able to take our dog

We very much appreciated that the property was pet friendly so we could bring our much loved Cavoodle puppy. But a big issue for us over such a hot weekend was that the air conditioner did not work at all. It just pushed warm air around (noting we are very familiar with split systems and checked and double checked it was set to the cooling setting). And because the house seemingly had no insulation, it was actually hotter inside than outside during the afternoons and therefore not possible to be inside. Also there is nowhere to sit outside and have a coffee or enjoy the scenery.

Great location

Great location and good value stay, however the house was dusty, the bowls in the cupboards had oily residue inside them and the cutlery was not washed well. There were dead flies on the beds when we arrived and inside window ledges/tracks.

Clean and functional

Felt at home, air con works well and was needed on the hot days. Short walk to beach was fine, our kids preferred Berry Bay beach which was only a short drive. Not exactly drop dead gorgeous scenery around the house, but we knew that from the photos, and were there to just have family time, so it worked great, at a reasonable rate.

Just the break we needed!

Loved the peaceful surroundings and location close to the water. Heaps of roos to greet us in the mornings, and lovely neighbours. Our dogs enjoyed the stay, too! Highly recommend it.

Great location, easy walk to the beach. Peaceful and relaxing. The house was neat and tidy and the air conditioner was great for the really hot day.
