Hardwicke Beach House Short Walk to Beach! Off Peak special!

HARDWICKE BEACH HOUSE is a comfortable 3 bedroom Holiday Home that accommodates up to 8 guests with only a short stroll to the beach.

Kitchen with microwave, open plan dining, lounge with flat screen TV and built in DVD, stereo with CD player.
Bathroom with vanity, shower over bath. Separate w/c.
Gas BBQ and outdoor setting, highchair. Plenty of room for your boat, fish cleaning facility.
No Washing machine at the property.

Bed configuration - bed 1 - queen bed, bed 2 - queen bed, bed 3 - 2 bunks.

Pillows and quilts are provided, you will need to bring your own linen - pillow cases, top/bottom sheets, towels/bath mat and tea towels.

No smoking inside

NO PETS - this includes visiting pets, any pets sighted at property will result in loss of bond.

Hardwicke Bay has a beautiful white sandy beach along with rock pools and reef for you to explore. There is also beach access for boat launching.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A Cosy little home with a range of amenities, but definitely needing a washing machine! A broom would have been handy to sweep up the beach that we bought back. Nothing fancy but Overall, a nice old shack that provides the necessities.

Family Get Away

Neat and tidy. Stove was in good working order, however the TV and DVD were not working. Horrible mobile reception.. 1 bar if lucky. Not the place to stay if you rely on TV or mobile service. Good place to put your stuff and go out and explore, best used as a home base and hopefully it doesn't rain :)

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a nice 5 night stay at Hardwicke Beach House. The house was clean and tidy and well stocked with cutlery, crockery etc. The beds are very comfortable and well supplied with extra pillows quilts if required.. There was a good selection of DVDs, books and games(although the DVD player was not working). A quiet spot, one street away from the bay, to enjoy a peaceful holiday.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1. Living room rather dusty on arrival needing a good vacuum and mop, triggered asthma attack with one child. 2. Unable to use freezer as was very mouldy. 3. No hot water service on first day as it was not turned on prior to arrival. Felt like we've moved into an abandoned house for the night. Cleaner turned on the hot water service the next morning, while we were asleep. Unsure of what to make of it; that we finally got hot water running, or a stranger was on the property without our knowledge. Otherwise can't fault the location. Communication with management was adequate given time of year. (Christmas/boxing day).

Great little place otherwise

NO power/water on Sunday was terrible. Could not flush the toilet, could not make a cup of tea/coffee, could not cook our bacon&eggs/toast. Water operates on electricity, (no notification) but we had the foresight to fill up the bath, no bucket, so had to to use a pot to fill toilet! Awful, I would like some compensation for all this which spoilt our holiday. No communication to allow us to stay a few hours extra after the power came on at 11am to make our breakfast/taost/coffee. Nor any apology for this power cut or how it would effect us. Awful.

The house catered for everything we needed. Nice view of the sunset from the front porch in the evening and a short walk to the reef and beach.
