"St. Maarten - Maho" - Beach Across Street - 1 B/R Condo in La Terrasse Building

Our newly renovated condo is located on the beautiful and amazing island of St. Maarten. The condo with incredible ocean and beach views, is on the 5th Floor of the totally renovated La Terrasse Building in Maho Village. It is perfectly located with the exciting Casino Royale next door, 2 beaches and 2 beach bars across the street, and the world famous Princess Juliana Airport where you can watch the planes approaching to land. There are also many restaurants, shops, lounges and boutiques right there as well.

At La Terrasse, it is private living in a hotel setting. You simply check in at the front desk, and the friendly staff will provide you with your key cards and beach towels. There is 24 hour security at La Terrasse, and also 3 elevators to conveniently take you to your condo, pool, jacuzzi, pool bar and outdoor gardens.

Inside your 5th Floor Condo, you will have commanding views of the Carribean Sea, Beaches, Pool and Tropical Gardens from your private balcony. The balcony is furnished with a beautiful teak table, 4 chairs and lounge chair. The condo is air conditioned, completely furnished and provided with all the amenities of home. The living room has a queen size sofa bed, a dresser, a dining table for 4, a flat screen TV with cable and a fully equipped kitchen with brand new appliances. The bedroom has a Safe for personal items, King size bed, flat screen TV, a dresser and closet.

Here on St. Maarten you will enjoy the world famous beaches, warm turquoise waters, fine gourmet dining, water sports, tax free shopping, casinos, jewelry stores, boutiques and an 18 hole golf course.

The ad stated the unit was recently updated. That is a LIE as it has not seen any updates in decades. Also things were in very poor repair such as: the living room AC was not working, the fridge was making banging sounds and had to be periodically unplugged to stop it, the dishwasher did not work, the safety box did not close, drawers and sliding doors did not work properly or at all, the smoke detector had no battery and was end-of-life dated 2017, the screen door had big holes in it, the lounger on the balcony was unusable, the TVs had no cable or streaming programming, the telephone was not working as the building had changed to a new system years ago. I asked the owner for fixes at the start of my stay but when I left 4 weeks later nothing had been fixed except a smoke alarm was installed. I feel the owner intentionally scammed me!

Great location

This was a great location and the property manager was great to communicate with. The only hiccups that made this a 4/5 stars were based on WiFi and the comfort of the bed.We arrived on Saturday and were unable to get the WiFi password until Monday. John was great with communication, but there was obviously a disconnect with the hotel and him. We ended up spending about 200 on calling because we didn’t have WiFi calling those days.The bed also was very uncomfortable. We could feel the springs in it.The location was great and felt very safe.

Perfect location - Not recently renovated

We had a great two week stay at Maho. This was mainly because of the wonderful view, location and the amenities of La Terrasse (gym, pool, beach, bar). The apartment itself doesn't look recently renovated as stated in the description. The dishwasher appeared really old and didn't work and the kitchen looks outdated. The outdoor and some of the indoor furniture looked very used. There was a lot of random stuff stored in closets, which left little room for our clothes. Also it's not mentioned in the description or when I asked the host prior to our arrival twice about the parking situation, that this is NOT free. This costs 8 a day. Something worth knowing prior to booking. Overall we enjoyed our time, but a bit of an update and clean-up would elevate the experience.

Retiree's Paradise

I retired and rented the apartment for two months immediately following my retirement. So happy I did. The apartment was conveniently located near beaches, restaurants and shopping. The owner was a peach and responded to all of my questions quickly. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful time! The unit had everything you needed. Clean and well maintained. The area has a lot to offer within walking distance, Beaches , pool, lots of dining options, bars with music, casino and a food market. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The owner was quick to answer any questions we had.

Maho Central

Second time I stayed here. No real complaints. Everything is functional, like the full size couch in the living room. TV has jerky reception, but who cares. Internet provided by the owner is fine and I was able to work remotely. Good communication with the owner. Any complaints, he will respond promptly. The view from the balcony is amazing, can sit all day watching the gorgeous water and the planes. A bit noisy at night with club music blasting from across the way, but the central location is unbeatable. Security personnel always stationed outside the entrance, so feel safe. Restaurants, casino right outside. Secure internal parking for $5 /day. Felt like it's your own garage. Overall, very enjoyable stay.

Perfect location, great property

The property has all you can want- great views, great pool area, one block to the beach, less than a block to grocery store, bars, restaurants, casino...bus access right out the front door. 5th floor unit has amazing views of the beach, sunsets, and planes landing. Owner was very helpful and easy to work with.
