Wilgekraal House is a self-catering farmhouse located in the Wagenbietjieshoek Estate (visit wagenbietjieshoek.co.za), situated approximately 50 km from either Lydenburg or Dullstroom. The house can accommodate 9 persons and offers a tranquil break from city life. The house is let as a unit, not as separate rooms.
This farmhouse comprises 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and features an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and bath. The second and third rooms are equipped with 2 single beds each. The fourth room has a double bed and a single bed. Beds are fitted with electric blankets. These 3 rooms share the second bathroom, which also has a toilet, shower and bath. Bath towels are supplied.
The fully equipped open-plan kitchen contains a fridge-freezer, electric and a wood-burning stoves. A twin plate gas burner is available in case of electricity failure. The dining table seats 8 persons.
The lounge area boasts a fireplace and a TV for media entertainment. The living area leads on to a veranda. There is a lapa area and a braai facility.
The house is fitted with an alarm system which allows windows to be opened.
The Wagenbietjieshoek estate operates as a fenced game farm, with prairie and exotic game (Sable Antelope). Access to Wagenbietjieshoek is controlled.
Free movement over the property is allowed. Roads are suitable for hiking, cycling and driving. A paragliding club operates in full view from the house.
Vodacom phone reception is very good, others dependant on signal strength.
The property offers undisturbed relaxation in a peaceful and scenic surrounding.
