Our self-contained compact cabin is well appointed, double glazed and fully insulated. We are on the edge of Featherston town on a lifestyle property with three donkeys (Phoebe, Anna and Lily), two dogs (Lucy and Ruby) and a cat (August). The cabin is private from our house and looks out across paddocks to the mighty Remutakas and Tararua Ranges. There is a covered BBQ area and an outdoor bath.
We are a leisurely 10 minute stroll into town (supermarket, famous cheese shop - C'est Cheese, Artisan Baker, cafes, hotels, restaurants and bookshops). Martinborough - wineries, boutique shopping, cafes and restaurants, is a 15 minute drive and Greytown is 18 minutes drive away. Tarureka Estate is a brisk 5 minute walk. Rose & Smith a 3 minute drive.
*Please refrain from cooking highly fragrant meals in Cabin, e.g. curries, fish.

Cabin was cosy, clean, close to town, and a great base for our short break. Had a great break and appreciated all the little touches that made us welcome.
Small and tidy with lots of care and thoughtful touches. Adorable donkeys nearby, great coffee, such a comfortable bed. A peaceful setting and walking distance to shops, cafes and bookshops.
My partner and I absolutely loved staying at your book a bach. Was such an awesome little setup. We especially loved the two friendly donkeys that weren’t afraid to say hello
Comfortable, Clean and Quiet. Definitely a Cosy Cottage.
A perfect location for a get-away. The cottage was easy to find and the rural backdrop made for a relaxing stay. It was a pity we didn’t have time to enjoy the outdoor bath … maybe next-time.
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful homey cabin. The owner was so kind and welcoming and even allowed us to feed some of the farm animals (donkeys and piggy). We had a delightful time and will definitely be coming back to stay again in future
I loved the cabin and the neighbouring donkeys! It was quiet, beautifully decorated and very clean. Perfect for my retreat. Tracy was great, and very accommodating of my particular needs. I highly recommend the Cosy Cabin.

I had the best 3 nights and four days in the Wairarapa whilst staying in the Cozy Cabin, looked after well by the host, Tracy, and kept in good company by the gorgeous Phoebe and Anna (donkeys), the outgoing Sophie (Kune Kune pig) and dignified August (cat). I miss them already!
The Cabin was perfect for my needs: warm (cozy!), clean, tidy, modern and comfortable…and close to all the places I wanted to visit: Mount Holdsworth, Waiohine Gorge, Fensham Bush Sanctuary and the wider Wairarapa townships of Featherston, Greytown and Carterton…and the Claireville Bakery for their pies and Doughnuts.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cosy cabin. It was well fitted out with thoughtful things to help us enjoy our stay even more.
The surroundings were quiet and peaceful. The donkeys would often wander by to say hi. It was only a short drive to Featherston if you needed something.
The room is 'cosy' , so you do need to juggle your big bags if you have them.
We'll be back!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay for our babymoon. Very clean and tidy. Excellent communication with Tracy. The donkeys were an added bonus. Highly recommend.
Very nice, clean and cosy. Everthing you need and loved the extra touch of small vase with fresh flowers in bathroom and kitchen. Would highly recommend if you want a place to chill out thats peaceful and quiet
