Tucked just outside Medicine Park, this cozy retreat offers quick access to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, hiking trails, and mountain biking—perfect for a peaceful getaway with plenty to explore nearby.

Local Update: The Medicine Park dam is currently undergoing repairs, which is affecting water levels in the Gondola area directly in front of the home. Other nearby areas, including Bath Lake and Lake Lawtonka, are not affected. Guests continue to enjoy the quiet setting, outdoor access, and proximity to the Refuge just minutes away. *Our guest house is somewhat attached to our main property. (There is an exterior entryway with a single roof but no shared walls to actual living spaces as the interior wall is storage).

Load and start the dishwasher

Gather used towels

Remove personal items and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights and lock the doors

If you have extra food you don't want to take home, feel free to leave it - Kevin and the Ladies will enjoy.

No need to strip the beds - housekeeping will address that. There is a hamper in the closet to store your towels, or you can place them in the shower!

Kitchen was very well stocked, as was the bathroom. Everything was very clean and easy to find. The little extras like the welcome basket and fresh eggs was very thoughtful. It was a very restful and enjoyable trip. Medicine Park is a delightful little town and the book provided by the host of the town's history was so insightful. Great little weekend trip!

We had a great little overnight getaway at Harper's Landing! The property is right next to the entrance of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, so we were able to access hiking trails with ease. Tim and Sondra were very kind and welcoming hosts, and their sweet pups gave us a warm welcome too! The kitchen and rooms were well-stocked and the screen-in porch on the back side of the property was perfect for morning coffee. Highly recommend!

No water view this time, but not the fault of the owner. Dam is being repaired. But the house was fabulous. We've stayed at rentals across the country, and this is the best supplied and furnished house. Everything and more that you might need. Will be back when the dam is complete so we can fish from the dock.
