About a 5 minute ride on Bayou Petite Anse brings you by Avery Island, Jungle Gardens where they make Tabasco Sauce. It is also an entry way to Vermilion Bay and to the Gulf of Mexico.

We stayed here for two weeks and Jill and Darren were wonderful hosts with great communication and homemade cookies waiting for us! The well-stocked house was very comfy and we felt right at home! We were in a good central location with Jefferson Island and Avery Island close by! The sounds of the little farm behind us were a plus! Our hosts were more than welcoming. Homemade cookies made from an old family recipe awaited us; and they were still warm from the oven. Delicious. Information about the area and events that would be taking place during our stay was available. When asked, our hosts made suggestions and gave directions. Our hosts VRBO home was is just that. My family and I stayed here for a wedding at Rip Van Winkle. It was very clean and has lots of outdoor seating. Jill came out and showed my daughter her animals and even let her give them snacks. Great place and great hosts!

The House was perfect, very comfortable, quiet and really cute. Was close to everywhwere, we wanted to go. Sweet tea in the fridge and homemade turtles on the cabinet was a sweet jester. Was perfect for us would defstay again and highly recommend it to anyone.

quiet man was it quiet

the whole place was ever so quiet we just sat on the porch and enjoyed the clean air it smelled so good with the cool coastal air oh yes a very nice hot shower with great water pressure was very enjoyable too
