Ridge View is a private, sun-drenched, spacious and entirely self-contained 1-bedroom guest suit with top views! Only 5 minutes drive from the lake and town centre, with walking and mountain biking tracks right on the doorstep. The loft apartment has a comfy queen-size bed in the bedroom, and open plan living/kitchen with kitchenette.

This is a new, bright one-bedroom apartment with its own private entrance. The open-plan living area/kitchen has a couch and armchair, 32” flat screen TV (Netflix, Freeview, Youtube and Chromecast), and equipped kitchenette with microwave, convection oven and single-ring induction hob top. Located less than 5km from Wanaka town and lakefront, and across the road from the beautiful Clutha River!

Warm flat with lovely views

This proved a great spot for us to work (away) from home with with easy access to all that Wanaka offers in winter (though the snow was a bit lacking). We worked round the limited kitchen, and enjoyed the warm spacious living area. Hosted by a lovely family, we'd happily make a return visit.

Lovely views. Clean and tidy. Very spacious though the kitchen is quite compact. A quiet neighbourhood a reasonable distance from town. Does get hot with the sun. If we stayed any longer, access to laundry facilities would be handy

Everything excellent for a short stay. Only suggestion might be a an upgrade to the bed. It was not bad just not great. As I stayed for 9 nights this was more significant for me than if I had stayed for a couple of days.

Views ARE amazing

As advertised, the walls of windows gave this rental outstanding views. The availability of Netflix was also nice. However, the interior needed some additions such as a cutting board, a broom and dustpan, an additional kitchen towel, functional bathroom hooks, a rubbish can in the bathroom, and a bathroom sink that drains. Additional lighting above the bathroom sink would have been appreciated as well.

Mostly lovely but some minor shortcomings

The apartment was spacious, modern, quiet and private with great views over Wanaka. Covered car parking and good WiFi were bonuses. TV channels were limited to Freeview but the smart TV allowed us to use our TVNZ account. (We use Sky at home and don't subscribe to any of the Netflix/Disney-type channels.) The apartment had everything we needed for a 2-night stay but we did find the small sofa's cushions too uncomfortable to sit on as the springs seemed to be broken and, as previous reviewers noted, a bin in the bathroom and more clothes hanging/wardrobe space than just a clothes stand would have been useful.

Great space with magic views

The loft had everything we needed, including comfortable bed and functional kitchen. 5 minute drive to town. But the magic is the view through the large living room windows. We were sorry to leave.
