Gorgeous Cabin
The cabin and location is absolutely gorgeous!! The attention to detail in all the decorations at the cabin was truly amazing! We can't wait to go back! The piracy of the cabin and location on the river really make you feel like your in your own private mountain but your still only a few minutes from town. Great place to get away with friends and family.
Went to Mountain View for our family reunion, we had a great time. The cabin was very nice for our family members that were able to make the trip.
The cabin is right next to the train tracks, there was 3 trains that came by during our 5 night stay, it didn’t bother us at all. The house is well built, you could hear the train but we didn’t feel it coming by, they are moving slow. My grand kids thought it was cool seeing them up close.
We rented Bannock Lodge from 4/5 to 4/9/24 for a combined total eclipse observation and three days of fly fishing on the White River. The house has spacious bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a laundry room, a terrific combo kitchen and front room, a screen porch plus a large deck overlooking the river, and a giant backyard. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and the house is fully equipped, just bring your food. And David, the host, is most accommodating, generous and accessible. We can't think of any negatives. If you're considering this property, don't hesitate.
We’ve stayed in some pretty neat places over the years, but this one would be at the top of the list. If you need a break from work or anything else and just need to unplug, this is the cabin. It’s beautiful, big enough for several people and is located on a quiet end of a gravel road. There is a neighbor on one side, but we never heard or saw them. While the cabin itself could be in a magazine, the river behind was the biggest hit with the kids. We caught 3 trout just standing on the bank. If this cabin is available when you need it, you won’t be disappointed! We drove 5 hours to get there and it was worth it.
My family enjoyed three nights at the beautiful Bannock Lodge. The cabin was amazing and clean. The property was gorgeous on the White River. Communication with David (the owner) was easy. We had the best time fishing, touring caves, horseback riding and just getting away from the city.
Cabin is so cute, and in an amazing location. Went on a weekend getaway as a couple, but found ourselves talking about returning with the entire family or maybe other couples as there is plenty of room. Great communication with owner and the wifi access helps since cell signal is poor. Just enjoying the fire pit by the river was worth the whole trip.
Our adult son, and my brother and sister-in-law joined my husband and I for 3 nights at Bannock Lodge. This is one of those special retreats where you could be perfectly happy never leaving the property! SO comfortable. We were amazed at the space and accommodations, inside and out, books, videos, games. Someone is a master of beautifully accessorizing every themed room. I kept noticing one more plaque, picture, or antique that added to the ambience. A more well-stocked cabin will not be found! We enjoyed cooking on the super-fast-lighting grill, hot showers, and multiple spacious areas to relax. I fell asleep reading on the daybed in the screened in patio. Three of our group hired a fishing guide one day, then the next day was almost more fun when my son caught 2 beautiful rainbow trout, standing in the river in front of the cabin. We drank coffee by the river in the morning, and spent 2 nights around the firepit, listening to the crickets and looking at the stars. We also walked the trail to Blanchard Springs Falls. The only thing that would've added to the perfect stay would be to share this quaint place with more family, and next time hit that perfect week in peak fall colors! Just lovely!!
Another great weekend at Bannock Lodge. This is our second stay at this property and it is always a wonderful time. Beautiful setting, well kept and roomy.
The Bannock Lodge is one of my personal favorite places to stay in Arkansas. The cabin is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and has a beautiful and private view of the White River. I will definitely visit again.
Right on the White River, a peaceful place to come home for a few days! You won’t find a better place to stay than this. Will be coming back with my family to create more memories!
Everyone loved the cabin! Pictures did not do this place justice! Cabin is huge with plenty of space for all three couples. The back porches were amazing with pretty lights! And the view of the backyard and river were gorgeous! We all agreed we will definitely be coming back!
This home has all your needs for us as a family. The kitchen has more then enough kitchen utensils. Fantastic river lot at end of road but not to far away from Mountain View and all it’s activities. David has really made this a special destination on the White River. Look forward to going back. Jeff T.
We had such a wonderful time. We were able to relax on all the beautiful porches and down by the white river. It had everything we needed. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.
The check in process was seamless. The property was beyond beautiful, with even more land than was expected, and a number of amenities I would have never thought someone would leave. The service was great, the neighbors are extremely friendly, and the town is very welcoming for people from out of town. Easily a 10/10
We did a last-minute booking for a three night stay at this property. The description was spot on and everything was better than we would have imagined. The owner was incredibly easy to reach and quick to respond to any and all questions. We would highly recommend this property and will visit again as soon as we can.
After having children, David and Sarah wanted to find a perfect weekend getaway to create precious family memories involving the great outdoors. After years of looking for the perfect dream vacation home, we were blessed to find "Bannock Lodge". We are looking forward to creating memories with our family and friends on the banks of the White River.
